Why everyone has stopped playing including myself

I personally havent played in about a week and despite buying the season pass when i bought the game dont have a huge desire to return anytime soon with the current state of the game. There is a lack of feeling rewarded. Clearing a 20-30 min challenge mission for a performance mod each day, fighting over a supply crate just to get 2 purple items in dz6 along with my 163 item from the boss guarding it.... whoever thought this loot system up and loot tables should be fired. Remember when they said the best rewards are in the darkzone? Then why is the only 240 gear from incursion? Why are the only 204 weapons from challenge mode and incursions aside from crafting blue prints? But wasnt crafting the alternative to playing the game how it was intended according to massive?

I haven't stopped playing, ergo your statement is incorrect. Perhaps "Why I no longer feel the need to play this game" would have been more accurate.

I do understand what you're saying though BUT its always going to be an issue with pretty much most games with players who are well established at the highest level of the End-Game. Likewise, I know its incredibly difficult for any developer to accommodate those players like yourself. Season pass gives you the next expansions for example but I'm guessing for a lot of the high level players thats still only a few hours more gameplay.

So the question is, is it that the game is lacking OR you expect the game to be more than it can ever be? What KIND of rewards or End-Game would entice you or players like you to keep playing? Is it JUST about the next shiny digital object the game can offer you or is it about finding friends and having a laugh playing a quite challenging MMO?

A lot of any game is what YOU put in, not what is served up for you. Perhaps this is indicative of the way games have developed and gamers have developed over the past 8 or so years but ....

...I STILL PLAY SKYRIM!! There's no expansions, no more content but I still love, enjoy and play that game. Why do you think that is?

Trouble with the OP's viewpoint is that IF higher level drops fell even more frequently then even MORE players will be complaining as they've effectively met the end game and run out of content.

The reward should not be seen as getting the best and highest level object but gameplay itself. YES, there is still issues and certainly the DZ can be critisised as I don't feel its achieved the open PvP arena status that most players seem to want...but I have hopes it will change with positive input from player communities.

'why everyone has stopped playing" ?!?!?! i have over 130 hours into this game and i will probably put it another 130 hours and a lot more. you should have said "Why I stopped playing" and left it at that, instead of trying to speak for everyone else besides yourself..well, everyone is entitled to their opinion, no matter how off base that opinion is....so i guess see ya, dont let the door hit ya where the good lord split ya :) ...ill be in game having more fun :)

PFFFTTT! , im living the life in the 20-24 DZ bracket , by far the most fun in the game i have had , and it never gets old. I have a 30 i think like a gear score of 175 or something but i am avoiding the end game till stuff gets ironed out ect... but i love this game and there is lots to come in the near future.

but seriously...why CAN'T we get handed all the high end loot without running the high end content????? This game must be broken.
i know right? i want my top of the line gear handed to me on a silver platter. its like they want me to put forth the effort to gain these things by playing the game. thats unheard of. its insanity i tell you

I think its fair to say the game is still in its infancy and it'll take some time to work out all the kinks. A good example of this is the game Diablo 3, when it launched, the grinding was awful and just downright not very fun, after sometime, it turned into an extremely addicting  experience. Not saying The Division is unplayable or even bad right now but I firmly believe it's just going to get better and better.

I kind of agree and disagree with OP. But that's part of my personal flaw of trying to be balanced.

I agree, the loot table can be a bit jacked up in certain senarios. I died 4 times recovering a supply drop in dz6 just for a mod. At a minimum, there should be an xp bonus for fighting tougher enemies.

I do find the loot to be undisirable at times. I rarely extract much but mods really. I just run around the DZ farming Pheonix credits.

The missions have gotten boring be a use most of em feel like it's just wave after wave. And that's what it is. To make it a challenge, we literally call it a pistol challenge. We use pistols only. But I still ♡ Russian Consulate!! I don't know why...I just really enjoy playing it on challenging mode. I hope Warrengate Power plant's next period starts in a shark tank. I hate that one with the heat of TWO suns.

That's about all I can agree with. Now, with that said.....I accept all of that with this game. The last perfect game I can think of was MGS. Nothing has ever come close since. This game isn't perfect, as a matter of facelt, I think it should still be in beta. But it's good enough to play with your friends, get excited twice a month (typical good drop rate for me) and shoot shit without risk of going to jail. So what, you didn't get a boss Aug, it will be outdated next month like computers anyway. Glitches getting better gear by cheating.....ohhh I'm sure you cheating on something at least once in your lifetime. (Thinking of another woman while you're banging your gf can be considered mentally cheating fyi) but wtf does that have to do with how YOU play the game? You may come across a glitter twice a week at best in dz...but none at all during daily missions or the Incursion. To me, it sounds like an excuse to suck at the game. I'm not saying you do, or anyone else, but unless someone is using the transport glitch on PC on PS4...I could care less what they do with their equipment. If the game was broke, your console wouldn't start it. It's flawed, yes. Can any of us do anything about it, no. And complaining about it on a forum with no official affiliation to the actual developer is kinda like me explaining why I was late to one of my coworkers instead of my boss.(I'm late everyday, so I was excused from having to have an excuse like 8 months ago.)

In conclusion of my exhausting rambling, enjoy the part of the game you can control. How YOU play and get better. Have fun with your friends. Post that ONE amazing loot drop on the forums or Twitter. It's not all doom and gloom fellow agents! But they should give us throwing knives!!!

Some of the main issues is that I don't think the game really knows what it wants to be or whom to appeal to. In one part you have a co-operative, progression based shooter (like Gears of War almost) with rogue-like RPG elements...then you have what is meant to be end game content that is "hoping" to be semi-faction based PvP arena battles like WoW.

The first part I think we mostly agree...works perfectly. The point things fall over on is the PvP part as the DZ is currently (in my opinion) far too aimed at PvE still. From my personal viewpoint the DZ should be broken down into zones of control and players encouraged to be wholly "Rogue" within the DZ but with an aim to be more formal factions and using the DZ resources in some form of territory war.

At the moment its trying to be too many things.

All I know is that I just spent 4-5 hours playing yesterday and not once was I bored or did I feel like I wanted to stop playing. If you don't like the game that is fine you're clearly entitled to your own opinion but don't come in here saying that EVERYONE has stopped playing and sounding like a little b**** doing it ...

Go find another game to play and then hate in a span of 4-6 weeks...
