Rogues Ruining the DZ?

That is exactly how I enter the DZ I won't trust anyone

An example why is I fought alongside a guy all the way to extraction as I started the animation to put loot on the rope he left the team and started attacking me! Luckily his potato gun done 0 damage and a sticky later it was bon voyage!

I love the DZ how it is, it pays to be cautious and shrewd
Very Nice on that kill. that guy deserved that. As you can see, I love going rogue.  Its not necessarily because I want or gear or I'm and asshole lol. I just prefer pvp games to pve.  There are plenty of things for me to do (in the division and outside the division) if I want to do pve.

I had a real life friend screw me over like that in Eve...good thing about RL friends, it's harder for them to dodge a RL punch lol

And that's how I usually play.  I've had at least a dozen players (who were also solo) run up and do the surrender emote...I know I'm a jerk, but I just take off running.  Sorry, you might want to team up, but I don't trust you.

Unfortunately, the DZ is not high risk, high reward...it's a griefer's paradise. I get how it's supposed to be, but if life has taught me anything, it's that if people can screw you over for their betterment or entertainment, they will.
Ive had people do that surrender emote, then go rogue on me.  So like you, if solo, I just bail if I see anyone.

I am the same I much prefer the PVP side I started a new character who is LVL 14 at the moment and I want that to reach LVL 99 DZ before I progress

Due to my first character funding my 2nd via the stash its a pretty good build in fact a very decent build, benefits of this are two fold -

If anyone has done another character at LVL 14 they will know servers are packed and their is plenty of cretins playing, My fave moment so far was a group of people camping outside the exit I spawned and wiped them all out on manhunt ( they were between lvls 8 - 14. My XP sky rocketed the others who had been wrecked by them ( and i presume constantly wrecked ) were shooting the dead bodies etc and they all stayed with me for the next hr or so :4_joy: what did i do every chance i got to wreck those buggers I took it. Imagine one guy as manhunt surrounded by 4 or 5 normal agents and they all let me be was a very good day for xp that :)

The other side is i can help the lower lvl players get stuff in the DZ as i see no point in slaughtering lower level players and when I played on the other account a very nice person protected me at a low level while i gained loot and tried to improve that has always left a positive spin on me.

I'm not a fan of pvp in this game due to the majority of the players that go rogue exploit the game. Being better at me at pvp is one thing but exploiting to kill me is another. Besides that. Respect your elders :)

I have a lvl 10 alt.  Ive heard a lot of good things about that dz.  I take it your stashed gear doesn't come into account for that dz because you cant equip it.

As much as ive gone rogue, if I do see youre a low lvl dz rank, I will tend to leave you alone unless you fire on me.  I do enjoy helping people aswell.  Ive rolled with a  few low lvl randoms just to show them around the dz and to drop them gear I get to help their builds.  Ive had great enjoyment from this game going rogue and helping.

I'm not sure what you mean by exploiting. Are you talking about the incursion exploits or something else?  I know there was one for clear sky, but I didn't think that was around that long.

That's right with the stash,

I tend to start playing with the lvl30 character loot all of dz1 & 2 stick it in the stash, login with my lvl 14 remove it from the stash and sell it.

It is a very good DZ range IMO as all weapons are good it is nice to use a shotgun again and I find my sidearm can deal with NPC's ( i have the double barrel shotgun thing ) so i save on smg & ar ammo

It refreshed my whole approach on the DZ really

Had these 2 rogues kill me the other day. I was running with this random I met and then we ran into these other two guy. They were following me and then said, we want to test our new gear and then killed me. Ran into them again and then we joined up with them. I hadn't play in a little while (busy busy) so I was super under geared so they made it their mission to find me better gear. Cool guys. Anyway my point is, kill them with kindness. No one wants to kill someone who's just a fk'n cool person to be around, and as you can see by my avatar, I'm pretty fk'n cool.

Every situation is different.  The people who post on this board are only looking for a fair fight, only mess with people who mess with them, etc etc.  In the actual game the reality is a bit different.  In the actual DZ you've got people camping the doors, griefers chasing you down in packs when you have no gear, and just general assholery all around. And yeah, it is what it is.  I just wish there was more to the game than gearing up to be a griefer.  Maybe someday there will be.

That's how I met the group I played with. They killed me, I killed them and then we became online friends.  Our group has grown to about 10-12 people that way.

Very true, Ive been guilty of all those things at one point another. Whether it was me going for xp or keys pre 1.2 patch or you ran your mouth lol.

I guess that's my point. The game ultimately encourages people to go rogue with little alternative.  In a game like Eve, which I mentioned earlier, there's always another way.  The good stuff is in low-sec space where PvP is allowed...so don't go there if you're alone or underpowered.  Instead, you can find another way to get what you want.  Sign a contract with another player to get it for you...bribe someone...grind until you can finally buy an overpriced version somewhere else...it's really up to you.

Granted, The Division is not Eve and never will be, so I guess I'll just grind to 99 and then grief every rogue I see lol

Nothing like hunting rogues while youre on manhunt :10_wink:
