I don't see anything in the patch notes that makes it "easier to go rogue". There's more incentive to run in the DZ, but that's it. Whether you like it or not, rogues will ALWAYS be a part of the DZ, and giving you protection from them would destroy the zone. It's not meant to be a lazy Sunday stroll to collect materials and drops, it's closer to a war zone...if not entirely one.
If you're not capable of fighting off rogues, there's plenty of other ways to gear up and get competitive. For the most part, it's solo runners and players that can't wrap their heads around gearing and stats that complain about the DZ. If you're solo (bad idea in the DZ), these boards and in game offerings enable you to find a squad of either random players, or a hand picked clan. Your odds of survival increase DRAMATICALLY with either. If you can't wrap your head around gearing and stats, there's at least 20 posts here that can assist you, and google is a great resource, search a bit.
As stated in EVERY post here and elsewhere concerning the DZ and complaints about it, It's an optional thing. It's not intended to be fair, easy, or anything of the sort. It's a lawless, self contained area, and that will bring out the worst in a LOT of gamers. If you can't handle that, don't go in. There's NOTHING in there that you can't match or beat with drops/currency from PvE content. The Incursion drops the best gear in game, and anything below it can either be purchased for pxc, or dropped in other PvE runs...so why keep getting yourself killed in an area you don't enjoy?
