Dark zone rogues running in teams.

Played DZ in 0 to 160 level and only took 3 minutes to be killed by a pair of rogues. Shot in the back while shooting at the machine gunner who is on the left going up from the park near the evac zone. Totally unexpected and totally indefensible, within the lack of rules for the DZ, but I personally do not get what the rogues get out of coward attacks. They steal any loot if they want what you have, many times it is left untouched, they steal DZ money AND the thing that pisses me is they also then get your DZ keys. Far too much advantage for gutless acts, survived another 4-5 minutes when I was leaving to get restocked, at the DZ store near the evac zone, when 2 heroes opened fire, for some reason, about then I lost interest in bothering to play in the DZ. All players encountered who were rogue are vastly experienced, last one DZ level 94. have clearly had time to select a high level of defensive armour gear, because I shoot them and it makes no difference to their health, they have skill from lots of experience and they pair or team up making individual players easy targets and even teams in this zone have great difficulty countering them. Any where else they would be termed bullies, strong players monstering less inexperienced players but here they get all the advantage. The DZ is not working as a great attraction because the rogues have all the advantage. I do not think the game planners thought it through or expected rogues to team and become untouchable. Same idiots running riot night after night and players who just want to battle the bad guys and get some loot get screwed and leave, evidenced by how few players you encounter in the DZ to be able to team with. If they had a DZ option without rogue players I would opt in immediately. Perhaps we should run an opinion poll and see how many players would opt into a DZ without rogue pests.

I doubt they'll have a "no rogue" option for the DZ, as the no rules environment is how the DZ was designed.  While its not your standard PvP area and they may not have designed it to have rogues team up, they had to know (and they've come to accept) that players would group into us and them groups.

Yeah, I accept the DZ is what it is but from a solo mainly player (largely because the agent finder keeps pairing me at 155 for the 0 to 160 zone with 230-255 players. WTF,) it is a pointless exercise many nights trying to progress in the DZ as you keep getting rogued and can not get many successful extractions. The DZ loses many prospective players from these realities and the question the game developers have to ponder do we address some of these imbalances to keep/attract back players or leave it to a small minority to play, that may be commercially unviable? The nights the rogues are minimal and yes I expect to die a few times from them over an evening, you can team and run successful raids killing bad guys and extracting good loot it is great fun, like last night, team of 3 raids even into DZ6, very lucrative, but tonight 2 rogue deaths in 8 minutes by 2 different pairs and with many rogue players names I know from past nights going around, it is pointless.

I would like to see how many players would inhabit a rogue free DZ, like to give it a try at least. Would like to try a DZ area that is purely team VS team or PVP with some controlling factors to level the encounter with rating points from outcomes and rankings, winning teams or players get rewards. It may even make decent entertaining watching podcasts of team or player encounters.

This may be a possibility at some point, but I think that it would require a rebuild of the DZ and I don't think they can afford to do that right now.  Might be easier to unlock a new portion of the city and set it up like you suggest.

I've complained plenty about people choosing to be asshats in the DZ...but honestly, it DOES give it a unique feel.  I think, and hope, with the upcoming balances they're promising us, combined with newer content (of which UG was a good start), the DZ can stay more or less as is while players still have plenty of other options.  That's really been my complaint from the start...the only way to get the good stuff was the DZ.  That's starting to slowly change now, and I say bring it on.

I have seen this way back around patch 1.2 maybe before I was grinding with a group we ran into another bunch who keep trying to set us up to go rogue well this went on for like 2 minutes. So one of my team mates got sick of it open up on this guys we chased them for a block it turn into a 4 vs 4 to a 8 vs 4 and well after that the DZ really got to be BS fast a lot of these guy's where coming out sending people to trap others into getting ambush. But the only thing I find that might have change the playing field is the bracket system but the tag team Rogues are still around I guess

The bracket system does not work as the rogue guys are dumbing their characters down to fit in the 0 to 160, (as I have for this character), they have select armour as they are hard to damage, one of the characters recently was DZ level 94, I hit him 6 times with a 48K SASG shot gun and it hardly reduced his health at all. It would need an arbitrary cut off point for DZ 0 - 160 so that at level XX your character goes to the next 161 to 200 zone. But even this would not stop it really as they would transfer via the stash all of the gear and weapons to the next character and continue running rampant. You should expect to die in the DZ, it is planned that way, it becomes a bit much when pairs or teams of rogues stalk  you repeatedly  as has happened some nights where the death count over 4 hours was about 14, 2 by DZ rioters and 12 by serial stalkers. The DZ was not supposed to be this way but what is the answer, who can say. Some options are a limited number of rogue episodes, serial pests simply get transferred and none of their characters can play in certain levels ie 0 to 160. Perhaps we need an old west solution to outlaws, after a set number of rogue events call for the posse, volunteers are called and they get an advantage in speed / strength, to try to end the pest who can not go rogue for 24 hours.
