Shout out to Johnny whom I teamed up with the other night and to Wayne, spotted you online but it was 2am and I had work later that morning or I'd have sent you a message. 

Marching closer to level 30! Even took on level 30 Elites last night on the way to the Russian Embassy (which we rocked!) ... All was going reasonably well until a 2nd wave of 30's in the streets spawned....and I was out of primary ammunition...and friends...and we decided to just make a pass on that named character encounter!

Haven't finished the story still but hit 30 last night!! (balls!) I'm guessing all the last missions will get harder automatically and I'm certainly at a point that I need to group up more often.

I'm keeping an eye open for all of you online when I'm gaming though!

First experiences of DZ01 - I went in before hitting level 30 and really felt my gear was lacking power, almost ran out of ammunition completely but managed to get out again fine. Hit level 30 last night and immediately headed back in to DZ01, managed a relatively trouble free extraction for a decent specialised M60E2. Tried a 2nd extraction but Ai took me down as I (incorrectly) assumed the guy with me was helping to clear the LZ with me. 

Realised it was...again...2am.....and now I've had 4hrs sleep. LOL!

I can handle the smarts...I can kite like a god! I just run out of primary ammo REALLY fast because I'm not putting out enough DPM in all honesty with my lvl 29 AR. After last night though I've added a decent M60E2 (DZ drop) but retained the AR and my SMG-9 so I can rotate weapons in and out as ammunition supplies get low. My fault really, I've not taken the time to unlock a safehouse yet (assuming there's one in each DZ region?).

And its getting used to LZ's being Ai guarded but also the Ai respawning at the LZ after you call for a dust-off...that's what got me last night. I didnt realise to leave the LZ area, re-clear it THEN go for extract.

Guys don't forget to switch the ammo to fire and explosive bullets.  If you have lmg with extended mag, you can do a lot of damage and suppression when in difficulty, especially against the big guys.

Now that's just using too much brain power! haha! Must admit I'm still struggling to remember these things or getting the hand of swapping ammo like that (default hot key isn't great so I need to remap)

Yes very good advice. I forget all to often to use the "good stuff" against the bigger bad boys. Especially the incendiary bullets are so good at CC. Because what burns doesn't shoot. I used the explosive bullets mainly for the heavy MG guys to cook off their ammo packs with the AOE damage. Have yet to use a LMG with 200+ rounds with the special ammo to enjoy it's full potential.

Yes if they are burning they wont shot. You can "crowd control" a big group of enemies marching towards you.

Noob question but ... if I preload one of my armaments (say the LMG I have in slot 2) with specialist ammunition, does the game remember? So I'm using my AR initially but hot-swap to my LMG that's already loaded with incendiary for example without having to force a reload mid-firefight?

This is some of the game meta I've not made much use of yet.

I think they have limited usage, time and number. If you load them and don't use, they will expire.
