I'm loving the update but because of changes to SMGs, my DPS has dropped by 30k and for someone reason so has my crit hit chance and skill power. Gutted. Anybody experiencing similar issues?

hahaha bang on! The problem is I really don't find any other weapon as good. Assault rifles just don't deal the same damage in PVP and LMG handle so so badly. I've got some tweaking to do!Its all because you naughty naughty players aren't playing the game the way Ubisoft and Massive want you to. How very dare you to use SMG's all the time just because they're the best weapon to use in combination with other items and enhance you Crit chances.
Naughty players consider themselves slapped now and told to go off and use all the weapon types available.
*HEAVY SARCASM!* lol!
Its like they've never made an MMORPG before ... players will min-max and make use of the best items balanced against the best gear to give the best results and as WoW, Destiny etc etc have shown us time and again, it means players will gravitate to a certain build....so they've "nerf'd" SMG based builds, we'll find another to min-max to hell and back immediately and the nerfs / buffs will go back and forth ad infinitum

Keep in mind, technically they've been talking about the overpoweredness of the SMG for quite a while, and have been saying they were going to do something about that for that same amount of time. A few weeks leading up to 1.3, they've been announcing that SMG's would be nerfed in some fashion to where the other weapons were more appealing. I say all that simply to point out that there have been quite a few announcements in reference to not getting too chummy with the SMG as we were getting closer to Weapon Rebalancing.OlBoy88 said:I'm loving the update but because of changes to SMGs, my DPS has dropped by 30k and for someone reason so has my crit hit chance and skill power. I hate being the bearer of bad news.... but your Aug/Vector waste-laying days are only viable until Tuesday.<sarcasm>
So as a primarily PS4 player, I have until the next update to lay waste via my AUG/Vector/MP5. Ya know, the weapons I've spent hours and hours and hours and hours perfecting...rerolling, burning through credits, rerolling some more....
Ugh, THANKS Obama.

Bright side! MP5 wasn't on the nerf list.
Unfortunately even with the boost it has, it's still barely usable over other options. I think adding new gear only to balance it to within a hair of everything else is a waste. What they really need to do is work on how people are able to sandbag in the dz and how 2 rogues can go dynamic with each other and be nearly invincible. Those are the big problems. Not a few points of damage to any one gun.I hear they're nerfing weapon damage in light of the recent terrorist attacks in hope the gun industry will nerf guns in real life to lower DPS.
Lolz, well played sir!I hear they're nerfing weapon damage in light of the recent terrorist attacks in hope the gun industry will nerf guns in real life to lower DPS.
Glad I 1.) stopped using my Vector like a month ago, 2.) never got an AUG, and 3.) picked up a sweet 204 MP5 ST with self-preserved/destructive/ferocious a couple weeks ago. MUHUAHUAHUAHUA! (<--- that's sweet, my phone auto-corrected my meniacal laugh to that ?)I hate being the bearer of bad news.... but your Aug/Vector waste-laying days are only viable until Tuesday.

I can't speak for the vector, but the aug is still very good pve/pvp if you have the right talents. I have a couple good 204 vector's but i cant get past the small mag size.I hate being the bearer of bad news.... but your Aug/Vector waste-laying days are only viable until Tuesday.

I know we've been aware of it for a while but still a shock. In my opinion the other options do not compare. I picked up a great LMG the other day with brutal, deadly and vicious but it handles horribly (even after stability). Assault rifles seem to have improved but don't seem to pack the same punch.Keep in mind, technically they've been talking about the overpoweredness of the SMG for quite a while, and have been saying they were going to do something about that for that same amount of time. The good news is that supposedly the new SMG should still feel like what you liked before, and all of the other weapons are now far more viable with their respective permanent add-ons. You should be able to jack that DPS right back, and probably even higher than it was (especially considering the new Gear Sets). You should always expect for your Build to change when there's a title update.
