More medkits?

Okay, I've been watching youtube videos and I have noticed other players with more than 5 medkits on their agent! One guy had 7!   What am I missing? How is this possible?

I believe that with one of the special appearance packages that were available that one of the backpacks gave you the ability to carry 7 med kits vs the usual 5.

One of the Special Edition pre-order offers in the US I believe - Paramedic gear set. Likewise there was a Fire Fighter (fire resistance), National Guard (greater ammunition capacity) and Police (can't remember what that had but it was something related....might be Electronics).

police was 75% ammo cap.

I do not know if this is a glitch or something the MODs left in the game. But if you get that police pack, all you have to do is keep it on you with your reg gear. Switch to the pack regear/restock then switch back to normal. I don't think it's a glitch as it hasn't even been patched yet even on PC. I carry that and a Vest that gives me 55%. So I switch to both restock and the switch back. You keep your ammo. AGAIN. I do not know or think that is a glitch or exploit as it's remained in the game so far on all consoles. I think it's one of those hidden things developers put into games.

ALSO: The Paramedic back pack allows you to carry 2 more med kits. The same thing can be done. Restock with it on then switch gear.

It's not a glitch or exploit, just a little trick. Anyone can do it. Assuming they have access to the backpacks of course.

We've been keeping this quiet purposefully, so SSSSHHH!
Haha I don't see how they could patch this, I suppose they could just remove the extra ammo and medkits once you switch back to your normal gear, however no ones complaining about this so I doubt they care.

You're probably right. Removing consumables on a build change would likely lead to a whole host of other issues.

The paramedic one is the only one with any absolute value anyway, though I've been trying to make that 50% burn resist on the firefighter valid somehow.

Well the buff is removed as soon as the item is removed so I don't see a way to make the firefighter backpack viable at our higher levels.

Trying to build a set that's valid while wearing it, but it's becoming painfully obvious that I'd need no less than four 240 sentry pieces, and a 204 reckless chest. With the backpack and the right rolls, I'd be fireproof.

To be able to basically sacrifice your backpack slot, you'd need some perfect gear in all your other slots.

true, but to be able to farm certain areas of the DZ without a fear of flames...priceless.
Isn't it "just" the burn status effect that you get a resistance for? Those Cleaner Flamers could still hurt you alot or not? They would just not be able to set you "on fire" anymore.

My biggest worry with them is the "on fire" status and that it takes away my ability to shoot. They can sling fire at me all they want...if I can shoot, they won't be slinging it for long.
