Major weapons overhaul will follow update 1.2; more bug fixes and changes detailed.

The Division update 1.2: Phoenix Credits cap doubled, gear score lowered for next Incursion

The Division’s next major update will increase the number of Phoenix Credits that players can hold to 2,000.

That’s double the amount as it currently stands, a restriction that forced players to spend their creditsrather than save up for multiple expensive blueprints.

In today’s State of the Game Twitch stream The Division’s developers detailed a number of new changes coming in update 1.2, and hinted that a release date of the patch may be revealed next week.

The next free mission incursion will have a suggested Gear Score of only 150, the same as Falcon Lost, rather than the 220 Gear Score displayed on the map. Currently labelled Broken Circle, the incursion will be renamed in time for update 1.2.

Massive also said that update 1.2 will not include any major changes to weapons. “It’s a first step but we are not going to directly touch the weapons,” it said.

Instead, update 1.2 is focused on gear and talents, but changing those well have a knock on effect to guns and armour.

Interestingly, Massive said that a dedicated update for weapons will be released sometime after update 1.2, and that will have consequences for all weapons types, from SMGs and shotguns to marksman rifles and LMGs.

The goal is to encourage players to equip and try out different weapons, rather than just the overpowered SMGs and M1A marksman rifle.

Other fixes and changes coming to The Division with update 1.2 include:

Bug for the Sentry Gear Set automatically targeting players during the Dark Zone will be fixed

Bug where players don’t receive weekly rewards for the Falcon Lost Incursion will be fixed

Brutal talent will be nerfed

Balanced talent will allow quick scoping

Forced talent with Sentry Gear Set will change

Reckless talent will “work properly”

Performance gear mods to be buffed

The introduction of a Toughness character stat will combine Health, Armour and Stamina

Armour cap will be increased to 75 percent

VOIP indicator will now be in the UI

Last week Massive revealed that The Division update 1.2 will add a new Dark Zone bracket for players with a Gear Score of 200+ and increase more High-End loot drops for players.

If the new Incursion will only be same/similar level of difficulty to the current Falcon Lost .... why is the Gear Score cap increasing??

If its JUST SO players get new shiny gear...what the hell?? That's a stupid way to run a game.

Im pleased about ph credits changing and gear score dropping on broken, was hoping for some gun fixes with the patch but a step in the right directon i guess

Keep in mind that a lot of the community is still having a hard time completing the current incursion so taking it from the 160 currently all the way to 220 would be a huge jump that most players who HAVEN'T glitched their way through wouldn't be able to hit. Also this is FREE DLC so I find it hard to complain about.

Its meant to be difficult. Its meant to take you several attempts. Its meant to be done with help. I appreciate people haven't done it but with bringing another Incursion of the same level is a backward step I feel as not only will players with good gear rush through it and complain...again...that there's nothing in the game for them...but those who've not done FL will see this and think "Oh lord....another one i'm expected to do even though I've not done this yet?".

Its mostly very positive things in the patch and another Incursion for free is great in itself. I'm just concerned with the direction going. We all bump into players with 201-220 GS on a regular basis already, offering a higher GS bracket with nowhere for it to be used effectively seems a bit banana's to me.

All it does is give players the ability to GS up to make the top level Incursions ... EZMode?

UNLESS of course...such gear is only obtainable in the incursion itself, but we know it won't be.

I'm not complaining, as such, I just think its a very odd and counter productive "business plan".

I don't know how long I've been capped on PC's. What good is doubling the cap going to do when there is still nothing left for me to use them on?
I hope they plan on adding more to buy. you can only buy so many worthless blueprints before there is nothing left.

There will be more info next week from the state of game post on twitch. I will update the forum when I have the info. Expecting a confirmed release date from next week and some more info on gear/incursion 2. (Broken circle set to be renamed)

Ouch, making Sentry's call only apply to DMR, pistol, and shotgun is gonna hurt :/
I think it will be a good balance. the talent wasn't intended to put 3 marks on a target in a split second. I do wish they would leave it for 3rd burst weapons since they aren't quite automatic (they might be leaving it idk but they did specify which weapon types it would work on and that it wouldn't work on automatic weapons).

Also 204 and 240 will remain the max gear scores for HE/Gear set items with no new class/color of gear coming.

They do say a new gear set is coming so I would assume it comes in a different color set as well.

it may be a new color just to signify its one of the new sets, but its stat ranges and GS will be the same as our current gear sets as I see it.

Much better explanation of the info from Reddit! RIP SENTRY
VG247 doesn't seem to me to produce very high quality posts. That reddit post covers the most I have seen. I really should just go watch the SOTG.

I have already started gears up to get away from sentry's call. I have a kickass GS204 Vigorous chestpiece I crafted.

Just logging in now to move away to a new build, going to try out 3striker & 3 sentry see how that goes
it goes awesomely, been on that for a while now. It's solidly a PvE setup, but boosting the +armor damage/+elite damage stats on set pieces as well as the bonuses inherent to the sets makes damaging npcs like cutting butter.
