Season 1 Challenges

Apparently this is exactly what I do when playing with a friend and I'm waiting more than 10 seconds to get revived. LOL.

I change clothes, I renew paint job, repaint the parts, swap the parts - all done while collapsed!
It's a good time passer. I really like the paint on the Dragonbreath LMG in Narco Road. More of that would of been dope for getting into the mood of being undercover with the SB.

Any tips for the most efficient way?

Mortar:

Your idea of packing unidad into a vehicle and then hitting with a mortar is a good idea.

Otherwise, hit reinforcements or fly around looking for a group of 3 or 4 unidad parked out in the wilderness.

Don't do what I did, and try a unidad outpost. They are usually too spread out and then you have to wait for the cool-down.

As for the Task Force challenge:

There is a missile copter that's fairly easy to come by at a Buchon house located in the pic. (arrive by copter you can land on the roof and fly off with theirs)

If you find an Unidad outpost on a mountain side it makes it easier to level out and shoot while hovering (coming from the buchon house, just fly south and you'll see the purple of the nearest outpost). And if you do it near an access road they'll send reinforcements which again makes it that much more easier. Life's a bitch without a target sight but it is far more do-able than trying running passes or trying to angle the copter down enough.

Word of warning. Civilians can fail you and you lose you copter. :/ grumble.

Seems vehicle resistance skill would work great for the TF challenge. But I personally don't like idea of having my ass magically buffs up any vehicle I drive.

I'll just use my second character I guess.

Thanks for sharing. I'll try it once the Solo is done.

Alright, I've done the TF, here's my method.

- head to Flor de Oro

- find a town at the NorthWest, follow the road to the South, you'll end up at a Unidad base

- alternatively, go to Flor de Oro Alpha and follow the path to the west to reach said Unidad base

- The base has two helicopters. What you want is the Gunship, which is at the back and nobody attends it, except the tower guard.

- There are two tower guards. Kill them, sneak, and fly the Gunship, kill the rest with the rocket.

*Just fly through while tilting and rain down the rockets. Make a U-turn and repeat. Passenger seat has access to gatling gun to assist. The Gunship has higher resistance towards bullets itself, so fire away.

- Don't fly too high and head South from there. The Base Jaguar is close by and has Anti Air.

- Instead, head Northeast and find Unidad alongside the river and reach the central part without crossing Jaguar.

- If your Gunship is destroyed, go back to where it was spawning. If it doesn't respawn, try to destroy every vehicles there and leave for a bit.

- If you feel like respawning the soldiers as well, simply fast travel to the Flor d'Oro Alpha.

You know that Community Challenge of running down Unidads isn't tracking so well (at least on PC). Got a feeling there will be no Tee.  :3_grin:

How many kills so far?

It's 140k out of 1.6mil on PS4 as we speak. The count rises every second, but at a very low rate.

Ubi need to get a grip. Their staff can't even play it well.

This feels like they are so half hearted in giving unlockable. At this point, anything better than a Tee would be pointless to add if we can barely finish the task. Another locked item in our HDD.

I'm literally just running over anything at this point lmfao.
I give up.

It's pointless. You gotta be in Flor de Oro for the kills to be counted.

There are more Unidad outside their base in that province of course, but still not enough. You can ram one or two of them, then they will be alerted.

I also tried alert them and luring them to Rebel Rally Point. The rebel will shoot the driver and the rest will come out. But short after, many of their cars will explode there and gives them a good cover.

I also tried running over patrols at a base. But I have to carefully kill the potential spotters first before running over a few patrolmen. It takes too long for up to 5 kills.

It's a glaringly stupid objective in a tac shooter game.

Even worse, the kill count on PS4 speaks a lot about them: they really didn't freaking test the objective.

Would of been easier if it was any province. That in itself is a milestone to reach but more doable, having it province restricted makes no sense when the numbers to be met are stupid high.

Even in any province, you can rarely find Unidad outside their base. Being outside the base is more like random occasion. And even if they do, it's not always on the streetside.

Plus, the hitbox detection is screwed up. I tried running over Unidad with a buggy while reversing in full speed and he was just being pushed away.

I was ramming an Unidad and the car didn't register the hit because the Unidad was in a dodging animation, causing him to just get pushed to the side instead.

Seems like their logic worked like this:

Flor de Oro = Unidad centre base = many Unidad = Run Over Many Unidad = Possible

Well, if this is true, I hope the mission designer team ask level designer team about how Flor de Oro looks like next time.

Yeah I ain't even gonna lie, Ubi fucked up lol. It's blatant as shit too, I mean, hitting them on the road sides or in fields is doable... but, ain't always guaranteed and even then, that's a lot of wasting time to try and hit a target that isn't practical.
