Newbie Stuck in front of Safe House Door

Just started the pay version, after the Trail wouldn't start-recommend I reload the whole thing again, and am stuck in front of the Plymouth Safe House door.  Popup says use the F key, but nothing works.  Probably something stupid simple.  Please help.

 
Plymouth? That's the Brooklyn entrance?

That old bug seems to still have life in it yet. Amazing.
