PC Delta Error Code 20000988 PC

I continue to also get this same code to the point that I can not even finish a mission.  I've also gotten "Your account is unavailable" and "The Division Services are unavailable." My connection says 100% but I am getting kicked constantly. I am NOT having fun this way,

this is tedata problem or name it  Telecom Egypt problem or name it we are the third world country

i tried every thing like you said may be the other games the lag is high but at least you can play it

but the ubi soft servers depends on specific ports that blocked from our ISP like tedata or telecom Egypt 

with the vpn software i can play the game without delta 2000988 and works perfect that`s my opinion you like or dislike it`s up to you

Facebook in Egypt will have a new control methods like region locked pages or some thing like that

I STARTED PLAYING THIS GAME AROUND 7 - 8 AM. I LOGGED ON FINE AND I WAS INSIDE A SAFE HOUSE WITHIN THE DARKZONE. THE ISSUE STARTED AS I WENT INTO THE SPORTS STORE. ALL LIGHT WERE OFF WITH I FOUND ODD. SO PROCEEDED TO GO UP AND BEFORE  I KNEW IT HAD JUST FELL THROUGH THE STAIRS BEING TRAPPED UNABLE TO MOVE. I SO LOG OUT AND WAS BACK AT THE CHARACTER SELECTION SCREEN. I LOGGED BACK IN AND I WAS IN THE SAFE HOUSE. BUT WAIT.. I COULDN'T EXIT OUT OR RESTOCK AMMO. THEN I GET THE ERROR CODE DELTA 20000988 AND QUIT THE GAME. INTERNET HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THIS. ITS A PATCH THEY RELEASE AND FUCKED THING UP FOR THOUSANDS OF PLAYERS. EVERYONE IS PLEAING FOR HELP BUT THE GAME DEVELOPERS ARE KEEPING QUIET. NO RESPONSE. IF THEY DON'T FIX IT I WANT MY MONEY BACK. FUNNY PART THEY WANT TO CHARGE US PLAYERS FOR EXPANSION PACKS. SUCH A DISAPPOINTMENT.

^^this is not tedata problem.i have 8mb at home for my router and i use it alone. Other games like blops3...etc i have no problem whatsoever regarding crashes or lag. It is a problem with the division game. I keep getting Mike and delta error no matter what i do. i even reinstalled the game and reset my router to factory and nothing is solved. Ill keep trying for now because from what it seems its a router problem. i have dlink.

This is tedata problem, Im on ps4 and having so much lag with tedata connection, when i switch to mobinil hotspot which is less than half the speed, the game works so smooth, problem is it eats up lot of my quota, cant use it all the time. fuck tedata!

I am having the same problem exactly, even though the first couple of weeks the game was running fine and it was lot of fun, and yes it was exactly after the patch, but as i wrote above in previous post, when i switched to another internet connection the game works fine... I am starting to think that those patches and weekly maintenance fix connection issue with some providers and screw it up for others....

Ok, I have been having the issue as you guys may notice for a long time now, DNS flush helped a little bit but things broke after that. I finally found the reason (At least for me) it is packet loss and bad routing from my ISP (TE-Data for folks from Egypt)!

So what I did is try VPN software(s) that reroute my connection to private servers and nodes. I tried WTFast and Vypr VPN, both worked fine, but Vypr VPN prevailed! I have had the game open for 24 hours and the game did not give me the dreaded error.

You can use trial version of those 2 software and see what works for you, I am not promoting either, I am just giving you guys my experience!

Both are NOT free, for my case Vypr VPN did help me a lot so I decided to buy it, I am not telling you guys to use it or buy it. If you have a free solution that does what a private VPN does, give it a shot..

The error though is not just for packet loss or bad routing, it is more of a generic error for connectivity issues, but this is part of it at least!

Hi, to solve the problem, i logged out from UPlay and logged in again. That was the only way to fix it for me. I hope this will help someboby. (Sorry for my english).

Thanks for the suggestions. I tried today Vyper VPN and all my problems are solved. no lag or disconnect issues whatsoever and fast loading times. I set it to connect to UK server because in my experiance its always the fastest to Egypt. I play other games with friends from UK and eastern europe and i get no lag or packet losses. It seems with this game i am always connected to an american server or something like that because the lag i was experiancing i estimate would be about 400-500ms ping. But now being connected to a UK server, as with all my games my ping is sitting comfortably at 80ms. Its less than 10$ a month for hassle free gaming for any game .

I am now getting an Open NAT on blops3 as well instead of moderate or sometime strict despite having all my ports open. Color me impressed.

@midoomidoo Glad that your problem got fixed. I'm using Tedata as well, and sort it out by opening Uplay TCP ports and the game TCP, UDP Ports. Seems likely Tedata blocked those ports for some reason by default. Opening them solved my issue. \

Note: I didn't had this issue before in forcing to open ports for a game to work probably. I would assume this is a failure from Uplay when its getting people to force opening ports on their routers even when others don't have to do that to play their game, That's my 2 cent.

In the UK and got this error last night. Never had connection errors before (except being in a queue). Cleared it by signing out of uPlay, closing both uPlay and Steam down completely (not just letting them go to system tray). Restarting Steam, then uPlay, signing back into uPlay, then launching from Steam.

Yet this is one of the first things I tried and have tried again since and I still get it. Have you tried using a VPN solution?

It seemed to work for myself and a couple of other people as well..

Not saying ubisoft is not to be blamed, but VPN did improve all of my online experience including online gaming..

if the rest of the online games works fine then this isn't the ISP's Problem,plus this problem happens to many people on different countries, not just egypt
i had the delta error 2000988 problem and it was hapenening every time i play ,i've fixed it by using a VPN program
at first i tried Tunnelbear,but now now i use Speedify which gives you a free 1GB data for you account monthly , and if the 1GB finishes , you can make a new account for another 1GB instead of waiting for the next month
there are sites that makes e-mails temporarily on a press of a button,one of them called "moakat" you can use it to make a new account each time the 1GB ends

So your desperate to play the game huh, me too.  over 30 hours waiting to log in, or sitting through unskippable cinematics because I made a new character only to get delta 20000988 message and only 5 hours 10 minutes actual game play.  I spent more time in forums trying to find a working solution, or farting about on my router than i have got actual game time.  By the pricking of my thumbs somthing wicked this way comes.
Of course Massive claim this error code does not exist anymore as they fixed it in a patch so obviously the HUNDREDS of players across all platforms are at fault.   Obviously there is somthing OUR end to blame and not a glaringly obvious problem with the game or servers.
Now for a little history over 400 games on steam no problems over 20 games on origin, uplay and gog galaxy each, no problems on any other game.  So one game out of over 500 has continual connection problems....  obviously not that one game at fault must be somthing my end.
Also every single one of my friends that plays it and almost every single person they know that plays it too has at some point had this error, since everyone I know that plays the game has encountered this error at some point includeing Ryan "I played the game for over two weeks no problems.... WHAT THE FARK I GOT IT NOW!".  literally happened last night.
How to solvbe the actual problem.
Let me guess the ipconfig/flushdns didn't work?  Neither did opening every single tcp and udp port uplay HAS to have open (despite every other game working fine without you having to do this), and obviously your not a cretin and you have given your firewall permissions to allow the game through.  You have obviously restarted and updated your router, verified and even reinstalled the game files and your still having problems though right, you even tried signing out of uplay/steam and still you get the error, obviously your not doing somthing right then.

What you need to do is simple.

First of all you need to obtain from any supermarket a large chicken, doesn't matter if it's organic free range or whatever your only going to be wearing it on your head.   Then you need to get a small tin of yellow paint and a small tin of blue paint from any hardware store, I reccomend a latex based paint for obvious reasons.  A roll of tin foil and your almost set.
Have a nice relaxing shower or bath dry yourself off and put the chicken on your head (do not force it past your eyes as you will need to be able to see to do the following steps.  Roll the tin foil around your arms legs and chest so you look like the tin man from the wizard of OZ with assless tin foil chaps.   Then Paint one buttock blue one buttock yellow and twerk till your ass crack turns green.   Uninstall the game restart your router and PC, then reinstal the game start it press continue and get the delta 20000988 error code.   Scream a roar of outrage to the gods.   Start refering to yourself in the third person as Zargon Destroyer of Innocence and call uplay customer support.  Demand they resolve this issue or you Zargon Destroyer of Innocence will be forced to eat their babies.   When the police arrive plead insanity due to emotional stress from the game being broken.  your wrapped in tin foil wearing a chicken on your headwith one buttock blue one buttock yellow and a green ass crack refering to yourself only as Zargon Destroyer of Innocence....  Chances are good they will believe you.
If enough people do this it will become national then worldwide news forceing Uplay Massive to fix the fucking game.
