*whispers* Join us on PC ... trust your feelings... use the force of PC
Well, considering that we are a duo.. that would mean we'd have to purchase 2 high quality PC's.. and then adjust to the art of PC gaming... power level on our evenings..... and by the time we got to Underground, it'd be coming out on PS4.  ;)

So, how does this couple playing work on the console, do you need two consoles?

I imagine that being able to see each others screens would be an advantage in working together.

The not being able to group up between above ground and below ground makes sense.  Some people may not buy the DLC and it would cause an issue matching the players.  Some games will give you some kind of message about a content mismatch, but I'm guessing this would literally melt down the damn Massive servers if they tried it.  Just a guess...

I do like that you can reroll talents on current weapons, got some that need that done.  Sucks about the skill-free talents.

Got an awesome G36 Mil spec 226 (or 229 or whatever the new GS is).  Base of 109k DPS with brutal, vicious and something else.  After modding it is 250k DPS.  I almost choked on my Ribena  :10_wink: .  I am now doing the top level daily HVTs solo.

I am also liking the SVD para.  Not as fast as the M1A but I just love the sound and it is fast enough.  That BaDum every time I pull the trigger just makes me smile.   It is also fast enough to quickly adjust and refire on a miss but slow enough that you have to pause rather than just panic firing.

Although it sucks to have to go around in 5 Sentry pieces, fire in the underground is not a big concern at the moment and I picked up a fantastic 268 chestpiece (1.8k armour and something like 780 stamina with the two mandatory gear slots now).

All these items were from the stash chests you get for leveling......

Now is the time to get out those alt characters and level them up quickly in the underground to get the first 10 or so stash chests with the pretty good look before someone nerf the ability to do that.  4 characters could net you 40 stash chests with 4 hours play a piece (i.e. 2 days if your alts are already lvl 30).  They can then share the loot in your player stash, but shhhhh..... don't tell everyone  :1_grinning: .

Oh and yep, I know the G36 will be nerfed but as they said in State of the Game.... "Enjoy it whilst you can".

Last thought, finally the Phoenix credits are relevant again with their requirement for weapon recalibration.

Good news.

I see on the UBI forums that the reclibration of the 'stat free' weapon talent leading to the new talent requiring the stat levels to activate is a bug (on the PP-19).  That would indicate there is a known issue and that recalibrating free talents should make the newly selected talent 'Stat free' as well.

No ETA on the fix at the moment but good to hear they have seen it and are working on a fix.

Ok, in all seriousness I got online and into the game with a level 30 last night. I didn't have much time so didn't get into an underground Dungeon as I spent my time running the new mission that kicks off the story side of the Underground DLC and then scratching my head, recalibrating and moving gear around to try and get a decent build again (my Stamina went down below 100k after the patch!!).

Now I have more balanced stats but still not activating weapon talents. I won't worry to much as the character is only on 182GS weapons anyway (over all GS of 195).

Good impressions though. Sable, no bugs, loved the intro story mission (though thought it was easy), have they buffed Challenge Mod on other missions?? We attempted one as a party of two expecting it to be difficult but literally didn't get past the first encounter (shotgunner spam PLUS grenade/mortar spamming to insane levels!!).

I didn't have any game freezes like previously, though I did get one proper game crash with a windows error showing (windows automatically restarted rather than being forced). So fingers crossed.

Will try and get into the tunnels tonight though.

Did your stam drop because youre using new gear or recalibrated gear to firearms/electronics?  Only thing that dropped on my build was dps. After running underground and going rogue in the dz. I feel as if my build is much better overall then it was previously with 250 dps.  I'm at 190k dps on my aug, 447k toughness and 15k skill. Before I was 250k dps, 400k toughness and 11k skill. (I'm using 5 piece striker and one 268 pred vest that dropped with good stats.)

Stamina drop was before I moved things around and recalibrated ... i.e. it was an effect on some item I had due to a patch tweak. I was mainly running 4 pc Lone Star with 1 x TA (pack) & 1x Stiker (gloves) mix. I've got my build settled last night at 129k DPS, 110 toughness & 29k skill

That's odd, I wonder what effected it. on a side not, I had a group member have a pair of gloves drop with two stats, Stam and Electronics. His major attributes were only 2 items instead of 3.

Meh, I didn't look closely to see what it was but I rejigged things for now. As I try to play support role with healing etc I like to keep my Electronics up to limit cool-down of course. I just need to get my arse down into the dungeons now.

Yep; two consoles and two TV's set up right next to each other in the living room.  And yes, you're very right that the two screens helps a lot of times, though; it has also hindered on some occasions.  There's been times when her or I have been dead and was watching the other person's screen while being revived without noticing lol.  First world struggles.  ;)

After an evening of Underground with a couple of friends and them setting the dungeons up with no mini-maps or enemy markers etc

F*cking Happy as a pig in Sh*t

One of the most enjoyable game experiences I've had in years!

After hitting level 10 you can apply the Mad Skillz which causes cooldown on both skills if you pop one.  That is not too bad and gives better XP at the end.

One thing I heard was that the caches loot are based on your current GS.  Try to get your GS up before you open them even if you put on some crap higher GS gear just for the opening.  You are likely to get better levels of equipment (up to a point of course).

We did a challenging (myself and @Oh. daesu) with a couple of randoms.  Went in to the first room and boom... retreat, retreat, retreat.......  We fell back, revived the fallen (including myself) and went in again.  The shotgunners and snipers are brutal even with this G36.  We managed to clear it and started another one but had one person leave at the start and although we did well and got quite far, the three of us could not prevail and the other random dropped off.

At a toughness of around 350k I got 1 shotted by a sniper.  Maybe a lucky shot from them but still brutal.

I also noted my DPS for the G36 went down.  It was 250K Wednesday and then when I logged in last night it was down by around 15k to 235k.  Swapping out my Sentrys Call 5 piece to a 4 piece drops it to 200k.

I am interested in the new Deadeye set TBH.  Marksman critical damage bonuses, initial bullet stability (more for bolt action than the SVD I am using) plus 100% crit chance with the 4 piece on marksman rifles when not scoped, paired with 2 piece Hunters Faith giving another 20% marksman crit damage.  May be worth a play.  It does lean heavily on marksman rifles and they are not the best in some situations though.

Oh and I have also been finding weapon kits as part of drops in the underground so they do not only have to be crafted.  Buying the blueprints for them is not 100% required.

The single gold tools and electronics (and other) loot boxes you can find in the Underground missions is also rebalancing the issues with lots of mats for fabric & weapon parts but very low for other types leading to issues with trying to craft items.  If only they could have the DZ vendor BPs available outside of the DZ as well but that seems to be one of the major carrots to get people in there.

Actually did the room in challenge a bit before you joined. Went completely pear shaped. It's a tricky room since it looks like there's good cover just inside the door. But the ai have the angles. So, that's why "guys, back to the room.. back to the room".

Edit: back to the little original room.  the antechamber of the main theatre, as such

I like it, but needs some work.  This has completely destroyed doing other content for me, till I hit lvl 40 underground.  Some of the weapons I really don't understand the higher gs stuff has problems competing with lower gs stuff because of the rng.   I have a 182 g36 that is on par with my highest gs one.

The new sets are kinda cool, got one toon running the fire, and one with blind.  I think the fire is probably better though damage wise, as I never seem to get kills in groups with blind proc'n.

The svd is a big disappointment though.  I know the m14 and svd in real life, and the difference in game is drastic.  The SVD is way under powered for the round its putting out, but at least the recoil and effects are satisfying.

After I finish leveling up 1 toon for underground to max, I'll take him on a tour of the new excursion and see how it goes.  Really disappointed with dps though, and I'm waiting till I have 3 toons at least lvl ten to sort the 268 gear and start min/max stats.

Is 268 dropping other places yet?  Haven't seen the sun in a few days...
