I'd prefer that it doesn't because I like to start with my AR or LMG from range and when I close switch to SMG or shotty and when I do don't always wait to empty the mag.  Typically, I'll unload until I drop a target and then reload, I hate to lose a bunch of ammo if I can avoid it.

As I was told it would needlessly penalise people with the Lone Star set so Lone Star overrides the directive penalty. For example, if you're a primary Sniper with either shotgun or SMG for close work ... you get rushed from an uncovered angle so have to swap to SMG .... do you lose potentially a whole magazine from your sniper rifle? The Draganov Para I currently have uses an extended magazine with 20 rounds!

IF the directive works I can lose 19 rounds just because I had an enemy get in close?

I'm inclined to agree that Lone Star overrides "Waste Not Want Not" directive regarding reloads when swapping weapons... when that talent actually works I mean! LOL!

I don't currently have any high level Lone Star though (only 204 I think) but I could just run a dungeon on Normal with the directive anyway for test purposes.

Are HVT's still dropping mainly Lone Star?

I could do with some higher GS versions for when I use "Waste Not Want Not" again.
Do these new gear sets even exist? Spent about 90 minutes grinding through DZ5/6 this afternoon and did Lexington on Heroic - which was really fun - only to end up with more LS and Nomad stuff. ?

The only new set we have on PS4 is the AlphaBridge, until Underground drops on 8/2.  And the AlphaBridge set is dropping, one of the guys in my group last night got a 268 piece of it from an HVT.

One of my friends is already running a four-piece AB set. He seems to like it but was unable to articulate its strengths.

  • Set Bonus (2): +2 Medkit Capacity
  • Set Bonus (3):+100% Health Regen
  • Set Bonus (4): Talent | AlphaBridge If your Primary and Secondary Weapon is of the same category, they both gain all of the unique active talents.
The med kits can be gotten by equipping the paramedic backpack, resupplying, and then equipping your normal backpack.  The regen is really nice, but I think the 4 pc bonus is what everyone's after.

The way I understand it, say you run an AUG and an MP 5 and you have 6 different talents between them, both guns would effectively have 6 talents.  And if you add 2x lone star for the extra ammo, that could be pretty OP.

Tell me about it.  I could be understanding the mechanics wrong, but I don't think I am.  Find a "safe" spot to duck into cover and start healing.  I'm not sure what conditions must be met before regen starts, but full health in under 10 sec is nice.

The bonus of this gear set is awesome, but why in the same category? This is totally worthless, you will use the whole amount of bullets for 2 guns, you will run low ammo quick! It is not like you running with 1500 bullets of AR and 1500 for SMG for say, now you will run with 1500 but it will be share by the two guns because they are the same ammo types! They should put this as a combination of 2 different types of guns or something!

My point of vue!

Good point but I guess its a balancing issue. If you had all the talents PLUS well over 3,000 rounds to play with ... THAT would be OP! This way the player has to make a choice, damage via active talents or damage via sheer weight of fire.

That said with x2 Lone Star you still have over 750 rounds per weapon!! That's about 20% more than without Lone Star equipped anyway.

That's why you have another pair as a backup when you run it.  The g36 is smg like and holds its own in PvP.

And you can use the police backpack and 2x LS to get +175% ammo and then switch to other gear.  I currently have 4x LS and piece bonuses so I get +192% ammo without the police backpack, so I run with 1750 in backup SMG and AR rounds.

I understand all this but you using 2 different category of guns, AR and SMG, but the final bonus is for 2 guns from the same category, that means 2 smg equipped or 2 AR or 2 LMg for example.

So even if you have 3000 bullets for SMG per say and you have 2 SMG equipped like vector with pp-19. At the beginning it will show 3000 rounds each gun when you switching but when you will start firing lets say your pp-19 and you fire 1500 bullets from him, when you will switch to your vector it will appear 1500 bullets total and not 3000 because they are using the same caliber of ammo.

I don't know if your guys are understanding me, or it is me who is off the track lol!!

I try it yesterday and the ammo is share with both guns of same category, so instead of having 1 AR equipped and 1 SMG equipped and both has 3000 bullets lets say (example) so total of ammunition will be 6000. But if you have 2 of same cat the total will be 3000. Are you following lol!!???

That means you gone to have to switch gun thru inventory every time loll...this is annoying hahahaha. Anyway I just understand what you meant...sorry totally my French perspective here who took the best of me!

They should tweek this bonus just a little bit, this is my point of vue tho!!!

Yeah it can be annoying. Especially if youre on manhunt and being chased down with empty smg mags.  nature of the beast though.  I'm of the opinion that 2 weapon types utilizing 6 talents is OP.

Yes it would be but you can get all the talents unlock anyway by the way you do your build-up, talents are helpful and that's it. The reclaimer set is really OP and it will still be more op even if the alphabridge was change.
