What about The Division got you excited for the release?

What first intrigued me was the overall storyline. I have an obsession with post-apocalyptic stories and the premise that some has brought a real world location into anarchical chaos caught my curiosity. Then the graphics and the futuristic yet realistic tech like the seeker mine, things you would expect a secret government task force to have at their disposal. 

I was originally expecting more realism with the gun play and overall damage but I understand the reasoning for not going that route. Once I got the hang of it a little better I started to fall in love with it.

2. The world is INCREDIBLE! The details are over the top. The work that they put into it, kudos to Ubisoft and the design team.

Gunplay, cover system, the way teamwork can be used in both PVE and Dark Zone. The Dark Zone and the tense it brings never knowing someone elses intentions or when I decide to go rogue. The ability to set up good fire lanes and get some good flanking routes.
