Xbox Live The Liberator AR?

For an electronics heavy build, it's ok. For any other build, no. High RoF but very low damage per shot, relatively stable on full auto. Talents are hard to trigger in teh build it's designed for, and those that do will barely be noticed;

  • Competent: Weapon damage is increased by 5.50% for 10 seconds after using a skill. (5.50% of a marshmallow is still a marshmallow)
  • Talented: Killing a target with this weapon increases skill power by 3% for 5 seconds. This effect does not stack. Killing a new target refreshes the timer. (you'll rarely get kills)
  • Dominant: Every kill performed while your signature skill is active reduces the cooldown of your other skills by {x}%. (decent electronics build erases cooldowns anyway)
If you can get your hands on a Caduceus, the Liberator won't even be close. If you can't, you're still likely to be better off with any weapon with Coolheaded than the Liberator.

I have a Liberator and a Lightweight M4 (base weap of the Liberator).  I got both around the same time and I had better talents on my LW M4 so I ran it instead of the Liberator.  With some decent mods the only issue I had with it was the vertical climb, but if you pulse fire and start center mass your final round should be a headshot.

That being said, I picked up the blue print for BMAK and rolled ferocious/deadly/balanced on my one and only crafting and with some pretty solid mods it's laser accurate and packs a hell of a punch.

I been keeping my eyes out for the M4 Blue Print in BOo waiting to see it pop up but for DPS I'm doing o k with my AK 47 and MP5 N and I just keep grinding untill I get something new that fits my style

I'm running with the Liberator and it's OK. Recoil is a b*tch and it strays like an excited dog. On a positive note it can be modded effectively and it does reasonable damage.

I was chatting to @DeadSockPuppet the other day and, in hindsight, I wish I'd have gone for the Black Market AK.

If you have the BMAK and the right mods, you'll prefer that over the M4 models.  And I just switched from my Vector to the MP5.   I plan to keep rolling the MP5 because my Vector has better talents (self-preserved/destructive/predatory) while my MP5 has accurate/ferocious/skilled.

^this^

If you have the BMAK rolled well, it'll last you as long as you want it to. There are other BMAKs to be found as drops with higher gear scores (and thusly higher damage), as well as others in the AK family that do just as well if not better.

Same with the MP5. If you get your hands on a good 204gs MP5 ST drop, you've hit the top end of smgs. A close second is the AUG PARA XS.

I've run with it for a good while until I gained enough Gear Set items to start running a more dedicated build. It does require high stats to trigger its talents as noted above but its decent on its own but difficult to add into a long term build.
