[Liberator vs Vector] your opinion?

The liberator is an assault rifle, while the vector is an SMG...its apples and oranges. SMG does close range fighting, assault rifles do close to long. SMG gets a critcal chance bonus, while the assault rifle gets a 25% base headshot damage increase.
However, the liberator only crafts with the talents the blueprint shows, while crafting a vector can result in that same talent set, or any other possible combination. As a result, the Liberator is only truly effective in electronics heavy builds, while the vector can be effective in every build.

Also to add to what @Xeromaus said, there are better assault rifle blueprints out there than the Liberator. The Black Market AK is far superior in my opinion.
People are fond of the Liberator because it was the first named weapon most of us picked up in this game, and you always remember your first.
