Hey peeps,

Now I don't own this video, but I saw this earlier today, and thought it would be a good video to show.

Airsoft GI has a youtube channel where they have they're own series called Tactical Gear Heads. They create airsoft loadout's from games, movies,tv, and also show off they're personal loadout's as well. And I think we can all agree this looks pretty accurate to The Division agents.

Enjoy!

I really like what the guy in the video did. He addressed my game/real life disconnect regarding where these agents keep all their rifle mags. The HSGI thigh rig is cool. I personally would have gone with a battle belt that would conceivably hold more mags. Also really liked the pack he used. I have a 5.11 Triab 18 as my every day carry bag so I totally understand the practicality of having a sling pack instead of a traditional backpack.

Now this is where I get into a bit I like to call "Um...actually" (see How I Met Your Mother for reference).

Disclaimer: my comments honestly have no bearing on the actual gameplay. It just satisfies my inner nerd and is ultimately just for fun. So allow me to push my glasses up the bridge of my nose and begin:

In the game, agents that you generally see right handed have the shoulder strap of their pack on the right side. But if you're right handed, resting the rifle stock on your right shoulder, it's sitting on top of your shoulder strap. I could forgive this fact a little by rationalizing that it may provide a little cushioning against recoil. However, every agent has a rope grab attached right where you would place the stock, making it a less stable platform to fire from.

Also when entering a safe house or my BOO, I only see one rifle attached to my bag. Where'd the other one go? I'm assuming it goes into my RPG magical bag old holding +20.

Are the agents really just dropping their empty magazines? From the perspective of a private citizen, this concept irks me by default. Quality ones aren't cheap. But I suppose if we're playing govt agents that restock at the BOO or a safe house, I guess they can be disposable. The idea still rubs me the wrong way. Side note: It's a wonder that shell casings and spent mags aren't as piled high as the garbage bags are in the in-game Manhattan streets.

Hey Voodoo,

I would have ran a  battlebelt and the leg rig. I was thinking about making a loadout similar to agents, and I thought about using a condor battlebelt and thigh rig similar to the one shown in the video. We'll see if I actually decide to go on with that however.

I've thought the exact same thing about all of the things you mentioned here. The shoulder strap thing has bothered me a bit as well. I would have it on my left then my right seeing as I'm right handed .

The other weapon must just disappear into magic dust. I cannot explain that at all.

With the magazines, If they were private citizens, it would make more sense to have a dump pouch on their belt/battle belt. Because as you've mentioned, quality magazines are not the cheapest. However, they are working for the government. So I suppose it's not a big deal as they can make magazines for a dime to a quarter I think.

Love your side note. xD

Sounds cool.  Everything we need should be accessible from the belt or thigh. Maybe even a light chest rig that won't be blocked by the bag's strap. I'd leave the backpack for the water, canned food and energy bars, not to mention all those trendy mesh caps, simple chinos and modern hiking shoes we seem to be carrying around.

Would your loadout be for kicks or do you plan on doing some cosplay?

Other than the shoulder strap/butt stock issue, are there any other things you would change in the agent loadout to give it just a little bit more real life plausability?

Personally, if I may, I would add eye and ear protection. Even outdoors, sustained bursts just from the SMGs would leave my ears ringing in the very least. Indoors, forget it. I'd be deaf for a while. Of course, I know agents have a comms system in one ear. Although I'd like to assume then have some in-ear electronic plugs, I really don't see them in the character models.

I think if your were running some SMG pouches a light chest rig/ plate carrier would be good. If I was a agent in New York however, I would be wearing some soft armor or a light plate carrier underneath my jacket. Just to have some protection.

My loadout would be for both most likely, as well as being a functional loadout for airsofting, if I get into that anytime soon.

Other than the shoulder strap issue, maybe change out the leg holster. The holsters in-game are close to a Condor Tornado or a  BLACKHAWK Omega VI. But I would prefer a BLACKHAWK Serpa series holster. Not too many straps and can basically just drop my pistol into it and it will lock.

Eye and ear protection are a absolute must. Could run some sort of heavy duty headset. Or just some earplugs. For eye protection, some good quality shooting glasses or Revision Desert Locust's. However, if I was airsofting with this loadout, I would have a 2nd Generation Matrix Striker half mask as well. I'm keeping my teeth damnit!
