Hey guys,

Firstly i apologise if this has already been a topic of a thread before if so could you post me the link.

I reached level 30 yesterday and to be honest as soon as I hit it I suddenly felt lost and thought to myself, 'What now?'

Do you have any tips on what I can do now I know there is DZ and Incursions but I am a very low powered lvl 30. My gear score is about 20.

My main questions are...

  1. When will i start picking up high end loot items?
  2. What do you mainly do yourself as a level 30?
  3. Do I just need to grind DZ and hope for good drops to get my gear score up or is there other ways?
Thank you for your time to read and answer my question it is much appreciated.

Tcup.

You'll start getting Daily missions, Challenge Mode missions etc and yes... its off to the DZ for you!

The long grind for the best gear starts now for you. You will repeat missions and grind the DZ for better gear untill you can beat the first incursion. After that you will grind the incursion for enough set gear to reach GS 220 or above to be ready for the (not yet released) 2nd incursion. So it is pretty much grinding only from now on. But it will stay fun with friends along the way and with a bit of luck with the RNG on the drops you get. Every really good drop keeps you motivated for a time.

You will from now no find the so called "daily missions" where they pick 2 main story missions to repat in the hard difficuilty and one mission to repeat on challenging difficuilty.

With your GS as low as it is at the moment you should try to find groups to do the missions since I guess you would have a hard time doing hard missions solo right now. The other big thing is as has been said the DZ. Matchmaking is your friend here. It is easier and quicker to get to results as a group and more fun too. So group as often as you can and try to make some "friends" that you can reliably play with on a regular basis. Sooner then later you will have a "fixed" group of 4 who plays together and rises together.

This forum too has a section for group finding and clans if you want to join one. That way you can easy find players to form a group.

The dark zone my man. Get a group and start running. We took someone from 140 to 184 in one run. You can gear up with decent enough gear to survive easily. Once you get comfortable get the incursion done then you start to farm that. Be patient and you'll be good

My scenario -

> Reach level 30 before completing all the Story Missions

> Get giddy

> Rush to DZ 01

> Manage to "just" deal with several waves of mobs (inc. armoured elites...seriously..."horde mode"!)

> Extract your first bit of sweet-sweet DZ loot!!

> Try to extract a 2nd time and run out of ammo...die...realise its 2am.

Take your time good loot awaits you also at the end of each mission you finish on hard and challenge mode. And for the sake of completion I would still finish the storyline even if it may not be super duper good it is still ok and who would end a decent film three quarters in?

finish all side missions/encounters, collect all intel and the loot crates hidden away in the same obscure corners as the intel, run every main mission on hard, move on to challenge mode when your gear is good enough to you, then DZ/incursion.
