PC Mic Issues on PC

I'm using Astro A40 TR's and my mic will not stay working. if I goto the audio settings and scroll through the mic sources, the mic will work for about 5-10 seconds before my headset loses all audio and just emits a loud, never ending beep tone. then only way to get the tone to stop is by unplugging my mixamp at the usb cable.

this is the only game I have had an issue like this with, so I think its game related, not component related

after further research, it seems what I'm experiencing is related to the Astro A40 TR mix amp and its a widespread problem on PC. This isn't a game issue from what I can tell

astro will be releasing a firmware update to address the issue. I am testing a beta version of the firmware and it has seemed to fix the problem so far
