I have been playing The Division 2 for years now and wonder how many hours I've wasted slowing opening gear crates and sorting through gear by type. Playing today I thought to myself there has to be a better way as the vast majority of gear is broken down immediately and not stored.
Most gear, if picked up in play independently, can be labeled as trash as soon as you pick it up. Unfortunately, this is not an option with crates. As you progress through the game you collect crate after crate, then have to sort through them one by one. Waiting on the opening crate sequence to play hoping you don't get the bonus item which makes that sequence even longer.
If there was a table in the base of operations you could dump all your crates at once that could automatically open the crates without that opening crate sequence, that would be awesome. There you could sort and delete and store gear, what a massive timesaver that would be. And at least in my mind be a welcome feature by the vast majority of players.
I know most reading this will just tell me I lack patience and am foolish for thinking the devs would entertaining implementing a new housekeeping feature into a 5 year old game but damn it would be nice.
If Devs do read this at least make a note on it for The Division 3.
Rant done.
