How Often can you Open a DZ Chest?

I was wondering if someone had a for sure answer to this question. How often can you open a specific DZ chest?

Example: On Monday i helped a team clear out the sports store and we looted the chest. On Wednesday I helped a different group get there and none of us could interact with the chest. I was the only one who had opened in and i was not the group leader.

Is this a glitch? Can it only be opened once (no matter who is leader) a week? I saw one post somewhere that said if someone is holding on to that loot the chest wont respawn until the previous chest loot is extracted.

Thoughts? I am really only looking for "for sure" answers not guesses.

The only thing I can say for sure is that it's not once a week. Ubisoft addressed how long the refresh rate was during the beta so they shortened the time before they were lootable again.

I'm not sure what the actual time is, but I'm almost positive it's all on a timer. Same kind of timer as npc's at landmarks

Thanks for the info. Really just trying to see if you find one and cant open it if it is worth waiting or moving on. Of course that all depends on the timer.

No problem, I would definitely say not worth sitting around and waiting for them. The subway near DZ06 West has three key chests down there that have been untouched every time I've gone down there. Good place to start a DZ session for sure
