Which one is better to roll with in the Darkzone?

PVP Wise

Please note any differences with the weapons as well such as base damage, etc.

I'd say it is more of a personal choice. The Vector has a slightly higher base damage but only 20 shots in the mag, a huge horizontal recoil going and a lower rate of fire then all other SMG's iirc. So this one is good for the closer ranges if you can lead your targets good and have a good aim and a lot of good weapon mods. Especially one with alot of +% magazine size.

The AUG has a bigger magazine and less recoil...you should try out both choices in the shooting range and see which you like more. In PVP it is not always all about pure damage but more about getting hits in. Because Agents roll around run zig zag try to break line of sight and so on. So maybe a gun with a higher rate of fire and more bullets lets you hit more often then one with a higher damage per bullet that fires more slowly.

Try both out and then pick your favorite. I would go for a faster firing SMG though.

I spent the past weekend grinding to get back to 260k DZ funds to buy the 204 Gear score Vector. I already had purchased the AUG and I can say so far that my AUG has been outperforming the my Vector in terms of PVP. I finally have been in a position now where I can take on multiple Rogue agents without feeling like I have to turn and run because of how well I feel like it performs against other players. I have Deadly (crit bonus 27%), responsive (damage increase 13.50% inside of 10 meters), and stability (+48%) as my talents. Now I can say I haven't gotten the greatest rolls on the Vector so far but I can say that the AUG is so far my weapon of choice.

Here is a simple question. Is the DZ BP for the vector better than the BP in the BoO? I know the gear score is different but is the crafted weapon stats actually better?

It is and it isn't. It gets a boost in stability over the b.o.o. one. Your results on crafting ultimately determine what stats it gets however, so it may be better for you or it may not. The gear score, however, is definitely "better", if you're looking for a few more points there.
