To be fair, I have no idea why I have that much.  I do not go in the Dark Zone much at all.  I suspect it was from wayyyyy back in the past when they were playing with all the crafting and never spent them.

I ran the Dark Zone with my lvl 25 Agent and considering there are only tiny amounts now collectible from the named areas I don't see how people can really get up to this sort of level until 1.8 comes out.

I'm the same as you, not really played a lot of dz until now.. think I used to used to convert for materials. 

You can still get a fair few by running around dz, good for key fragments as well. It will be interesting to see how much it will cost for you to upgrade your gear. Hope it's a reasonable amount, credits should be used as well , I'm like 350 million in the bank and can't spend them.
