It's part of the game, and yeah it sucks but that's why you gotta trust who you team up with in the DZ. Now unlike @TheDarkZone, I don't commend this sorta behavior however I do understand and agree with this part of the game and the agents right so act in such a manner,

Picked up some good trustworthy agents from PUGs. The only reason being was that we was on our mic in game chat. Did a mission had a laugh, ended up on each other's friends lists then friends of friends lists now we have a small army of around 10 of us (all on at random different times in the uk due to family commitments etc.) also a few people in the "looking for group thread" playing with reliable players is so much better than installing a misted faith in unknown agents. Never been my style much. Rather run solo or with people I can rely on. Saying that nobody else was on, did the Lincoln tunnel on challenging. I'm at 216 GS and dropped 214 sentry gloves which I didn't need. Went over the host of the party. (His GS was 176 or so) dropped them at his feet, saluted and left feeling a good deed was done amongst strangers.

If you think the Dark Zone is populated with untrustworthy gutter-snipes who have no honour, no compassion or any idea of cooperating with their fellow man ....

.... just go play DayZ Stand Alone for a few hours. You'll relish going back into the Dark Zone then!

I trust very few in the DZ but I am okay with that as I can be a scumbag at times myself in the DZ

As long as you anticipate and prepare then you should be okay, I have only been caught out once recently i got burned gear stolen and extracted by other player, Fair play to him, I spent the next 2hrs hunting him at every chance.

I don't mind the tension and lack of trust its part of what I think makes this game so good

Simple rule for me is if I don't feel safe ill attack or run.
