Cant hear anyone in the darkzone on mic

When i go into the darkzone i can see and hear through my tv people talking but not through my mic anyway to fix this ? Im on xbox one

Sounds like a mic issue as audio output from the game/xbox seems fine as you can hear them via your TV speakers. 

...but...is this JUST confined to the DZ? I mean can you hear team members in the open world ok?

Is there mute/privacy button(s) on the headset? Check its not been accidentally switched on.

Have you swapped USB ports (could be a USB port fault, though unlikely)

Do you have another headset to test? Pretty much any PC compatible unit will do.

I can hear team mates on missions its just the DZ and its just a normal xbox one mic so has no settings and had no problems in any other games

My a mute/busy I meant a physical switch....I've had that with headsets before. Issue sounds very odd, audio is ok in group chat as you say. Is there a "Local" chat option in audio? Does sound like a bug so might be worth looking online for similar instances. 

Oh! Make sure you’re not in a private party (this blocks in-game chat). Though I guess you've already looked at that. 

DZ uses Proximity chat without checking in-game options I can't remember the settings.

Other agents come thru with the game sound in the DZ where as your squad comes thru the chat channel. I am on xbox and havent seen a mixer in settings to adjust it cause I also have a hard time hearing other agents. They do seem to get louder based on proximity.........duh.

if it's anything like PS4, it's in the microphone/device settings through the console. Should allow you to run chat only, game only, or chat and game audio through the headset...though I wouldn't recommend running game audio through any headset with only one ear cup/bud.
