Commendations - How are you doing.

I think I've had maybe two Classified items drop in the past week. I have a full set of Classified for FM I'm still screaming to get some LS! 

Meh, it must hate me lol.

I do wonder how it will work during and after the next GE. Will no FM/LS/DE drop or will it be mixed. Otherwise if we miss out, they might not drop again until 1.8 rolls around.

Oh....consider that I got a full set of FM and near full set of DE during the global events! I've had hardly anything since.

I have been leveling up my 4th Agent (lvl 15 now) so have been in the LZ alot but not sure if fragments drop under lvl 30 (I would hope so but ... meh).

I came across Bullet King at lvl 11 and although I wiped out his gang fairly ok, he just pancaked me with a look 4 times before i decided to move on.

I had leveled my 4th toon and, yeah, you don't get key fragments for non end game characters. :3_grin:

I have <50 items to collect and I will have all 600 vanity items for the commendation ... as I expected though now I'm getting more and more duplicates. I wish they'd stayed with the duplicate refunds they had in PTS and not this "you spent 10 fragments getting this box but get only one unique item...here's only 5 fragments back" nonsense. Not sure its fair.

Currently still working through all these things, I still believe the Dog Days commendation is a myth. 

Often its a choice...do I stand and do all these star jumps or do I go do a mission and complete the weekly task? lol!

Does it tell you how many there re somewhere? Have you unlocked the collectables?

Progress can be seen in the commendations menu, just select the section to look through and as you scroll down any you've not completed will show your current progress. 

I've not completed collecting all the vanity items yet unfortunately.

You're all prolly quicker than me, but there's free keys with the encrypted keys tutorial.  I was getting the message but it was always near the vendor, but it is actually the locker right of the vendor. You take a fragment from the locker and then get a encrypted case, and free keys.

Yup but its really easy to not notice that if its been a while for you completing the story mode...remember when you completed an area you went to the next safe house and to a locker? Most people forget that and this took me ages to work out so great tip Oh. daesu

When you get the fragments, where do you trade them in to get them keys and then they caches?  I tried looking in the new room off the side of the Terminal recal bench and it looks like that's only active during GEs.

It's not very intuitive. Just get an encrypted cache as per normal. (So, you'll need a key.) But once you get an encrypted cache you'll get a Completed Mission message telling you have some free keys as a reward. I'm guessing it was added to your mission tab. I never noticed, but blithely completed it, as I had a key to make use of anyhoo.

Oh also, went to the reclaims vendor last night and found ... two other masks.  I suspect they are just giving all 3 masks to everyone due to the mass tub of cheese the leaderboard became.  After the GE finished I only had the "Awesome" trench one.

Interesting. A couple of weeks ago I heard someone saying they thought everyone was getting all 3 on reddit. Then, everyone said it wasn't the case. I guess ubisoft must be doing some handouts in someway or another.

Encrypted Caches, opened by Encrypted keys which are "built" using 10 Key fragments contain ONLY vanity items and you buy them from the Premium vendor located in the HUB, at the back behind the stairs going down to Underground. Key fragments drop from LZ kills, helping civilians etc.

Global Events Caches are purchasable ANYTIME if you have enough Global Event tokens (GE currency). GE currency is only available to be earned during Global Events. GE Caches contain any gear including Classified gear. 

Remember, your special claims vendor is now in the Front Hall of the BoO. He's moved from his location in the hallway before the stairs going down into the HUB, and now sits next to the Gear Vendor opposite the crafting table. REMEMBER to check with him if you have any Encrypted Cache keys! Everyone got some free (five I think).

So how is everyone doing with the commendations.

What were you easiest 'low hanging fruit' ones and what are causing you issues ?.

I have closed all my car doors and popped all my tires.  I am all emoted out but these were pretty easy to get done, just a bit of repetition.

High roller is an issue with the programmed delay for each re-roll in the re-calibration station make it take a pretty long time to hit the required amount.

I would imagine the Embassy with a six shooter maybe problematic  :5_smiley: .

I will probably do the Survival, Last Stand and PvE items last.  

I am currently just finishing off the exploration to collect all the phones, drones etc.  Around 10 phones to complete now.

Hows everyone else doing ?.

Not as good as you but with the time I have, it's cool to have other goals that I can reach myself. My commendation score is currently 625 and at first, I didn't know what the hell was that number on the start up scream but @DeadSockPuppet help me know what's up. Didn't know about the tire popping thing btw. Thanks

Yo! The Top Gear commendation requires that you equip all gear slots with gear set and named weapon items. I thought I did that but nada on the reward. What am I missing or wtf? What does it mean "named weapon"? Exotics? Help me

Yeah, figured out where to get the vanity caches.  I like the items I've gotten so far, my main female toon now had a hideous outfit: porkpie hat, orange plaid shirt, Times Square legendary reward pants and orange high tops... it's so awesome.
