Hi everyone I am Bubbs1873. I got a ps4 for xmas with the division bundled. I played the beta on xbox1 but never got the full game as I had heard some bad things about it. I am enjoying it but it is a bit confusing trying to figure out which weapons and gear are better ( and i'm only lvl 12).

Hopefully I'll see you on the streets

Hey @Bubbs1873, welcome to the forums.

Feel free to post in the forums with any questions or your experience.

I think leveling up to lv 30 end game you're free to play around with weapons as you level. The types of guns vary with effectiveness at different levels, so a blanket opinion about weapons as you level doesn't really hold.

I agree with what @Oh. daesu said, typically what I used sub-30 is completely different than what I  use during end-game.  Often at lower levels I won't change weapons and gear whenever I get new stuff, rather every couple levels I'll put together the best build I can, break down or sell everything else, and repeat.

Use the time in lvls 1-29 to figure out what weapon types you like so that you'll know what to hunt for when you hit lvl 30 and are looking for high end weapons.  As for gear, it really becomes completely different at lvl 30, so take your time and when you get there feel free to post up again and we'll help you out.

Don't worry about weapons etc too much before level 30. Pretty much just equip anything that increases your top line stats (DPS, Toughness, Electronics) and until you get past Gear Score 089 the same really applies.

Once you start collecting Gear Score 165 the real brain work begins. Until then, in PvE at least, you won't find any issues mixing stuff about.

I'd also suggest that you get into the Dark Zone as early as possible (about level 12) and build up rank and funds before you hit level 30. Its just "easier" (not...easy...just less painful)
