I'm just wondering if anyone can confirm that Barret's Bulletproof drops on lower difficulty levels? I know you have to be World Tier 5, but I've been thinking about soloing on Hard mode when I'm bored rather than pugging Challenge runs.

Any useful Info appreciated.

I believe you have to be on WT5 to get those items to drop not sure about hard mode but challenging gives more loot so better chance (allegedly).

Ah bugger all. I really wanted it but I can't solo Challenge mode, and I really find the pick up groups to be annoying a vast majority of the time.

Guess I'll have to bite the bullet tho and pray i get lucky before I get frustrated :D

All of the items can be gotten in caches too, I think.  I was buying basic caches and got the Shortbow Kneepads (one of the 3 I'll probably never use), so there's a chance.  You could buy one of the gear ones from the Terminal vendor for 200 PXC, which would narrow things down.

Play other events and "farm" field caches.  Takes about the same amount of time to fill the bar, the chance of getting it seems to be about the same and you can play whatever.

Daily mission on Hard last night - Lexington - EVERYONE IS FARMING CHALLENGING ... long wait to just run Hard AND even a time I got bumped into two Challenging runs by match maker

I was streaming on Twitch last night and thought about titling my stream Not Lexington CM to see if I could get viewers, you know, people thinking what is this idiot doing that's so important he isn't running for Barrett's Chest.  Of course, I was running Lexington CM to farm PXC so I could buy a Liberator from the Special Weapons Vendor.

It is, at least, a really good PXC farm!

One nasty ... glitch ... on a run last night. Barrett spawned way up in the bleachers (one of the upper balconies above the stage area) ... she didn't come down, got sniped and ... we realised there are NO stairs or ladders up to the balcony! LOL!

...had to restart the mission immediately. Apparently though (for everyone on the team except me) the drops from her spawned in the new incursion about half way through as a pile of gear.

EDIT - its a known bug with a solution on Reddit - https://www.reddit.com/r/thedivision/comments/5eopk4/lexington_event_center_boss_loot_stuck_on_balcony/?st=iwgm1fye&sh=be818ac9

I've been doing all the daily missions as well as extra ones on challenging and hard, hvts, dz, field, dz and combat caches etc and haven't had a sniff of any of the special high end gear items. I'm on tier 5.

I tried running Lexington challenging solo earlier to see just how challenging it would be. Was ok for the first few parts, - bit of tactical retreating and drawing npcs away from the pack and taking them down one by one instead of wading into a whole gang of them. The pulse turret works wonders for this tactic . Got to the roof and fuck me not a chance could I get past there. I managed to get one of the heavy machine gunners down but there is nowhere on the roof you can draw enemies into like the tactic I used previously so in taking him down I was swamped with 2-3 gunners, a grenader a sniper and another heavy machine gunner. I tried many variations of skills but couldn't even get halfway through it. Just get far too swamped on tier 5 challenging. Anyone else tried this?

Had this happen 3 times, 1 time we lost our loot because the random asshat killed her in the balcony.  The other two times we all died and restarted at the checkpoint and she came down where we could kill her.  Supposedly then maintenene on 12/1 or 12/2 was fixing this, but it didn't.

@Juliet Tango I'm not interested in putting in the effort to try a mission solo on challenge (I play for fun and not really challenge), but have you tried going all the way over to the left by where Ramos is?  That's where I go in a group and it forces all of the enemies in front of you.  The bad news is you have a shotgunner and sniper on top of to take out and there's no exit from that spot except thru all the enemies.

Yep would mirror that.  I had massive issues on the PTS when they changed the difficulty for Lexington trying to stay by the lift when coming out on to the roof.  If you run down and stay by Ramos then they get funneled down to you and there is a fair amount of cover so you can play some angels to pick some AI off and still be covered from others.  Don't climb up where the sniper usually is as they can pick you off too easily.

The seeker mine is fairly good to confuse and delay them as you run down (drop half way to Ramos) and the turret is a force multiplyer and you can throw it up on one of the small roofs int he direction of where Ramos is facing.  The Machine gunners cannot get up there and kill it.  If you also throw on a backpack / chest piece (forget which one has the Talent) which gives health based on skill damage you will get a flow of incoming health from the turret as well.

I did this on challenging for a change as was fedup with all the shield guys and it was doable but tough.  I had a fair few tactical retreats and the grenade spam can get silly.

I am sorta all Lexington'd out after grinding for quite a while and still getting no special drops.  I will take a bit of time out to go back to working on Dominion again for now.

This is where I usually go in a group but I remembered there was a sniper above me, a gunner and pretty rapidly a machine gunner comes into that area. I haven't tried that area in solo mode but will give it a bash. Playing on the PS4 and trying to throw a turret into a specific point such as a roof can be a right pain because by the time you have got the aim on target you have a guy behind you drilling rounds into the side of your head.

@DeadSockPuppet I don't usually try and solo challenging missions but was just getting fed up with joining a good group and ploughing through the mission rapidly.

Agreed, fine tuning the turret placement can be time consuming but if you throw a gas grenade or use the gas seeker mine before hand it will buy you some time.

Out of lift, run to the end with Ramos, kill the two AI down there, throw a gas grenade to slow the others, place turret, kill them all....

Change the gas grenade to seeker mine if preferred and throw before killing the two at the end by Ramos if that is easier.

Took a bit of time and many deaths before I found the sequence that worked for me.

I'm also running a reclaimer build with like 160k skill points, so the first thing I do is drop a support station behind the sniper tower with self revive and then I put Smart Cover on the flower trough at the base of the sniper tower.  I have enough skill points that the skills are pretty much refilled by the time they wear out so engage until they're done, advance to the next planter, drop skills, engage, and repeat.

Damn....I could do with a nicely rolled Barret's Chestpiece now! Curse you! lol

Guess what I'll be doing over the next week....

I've played Lexington probably 1/2 dozen times on Wednesday night and like 3-5 times today before dinner and didn't get crap, but I was having fun running it.  It's pretty much autopilot for most of it, but I haven't gotten bored yet.
