This might interest some people. The named gear and their unique talent.

Lifted from the patch notes.

[Mask] Ferro’s oxygen mask: Players can move and shoot while under burn status effect.
[Knee Pads] Shortbow championship pads: Grenades have shortened fuse timer.
[Holster] Colonel Bliss’ holster: Powerful improvements for sidearms.
[Gloves] Skulls MC gloves: Increased damage when no gear set bonuses are active.
[Chestpiece] Barrett’s bulletproof: Powerful bonuses when skills are on cooldown.
[Backpack] NinjaBike messenger bag: Less DZ loot and DZ XP lost when dying in the Dark Zone.

RimBlock

Underground, overground, wombling free
The chest piece and holster look interesting.  The gloves could be very powerful depending on what they mean by 'No gear set bonuses are active'.  4 piece bonuses would be easy to achieve not having them active (don't use all 4 pieces from a set) but if any bonus is counted (2 piece up) then I guess it would only be valid for people with non-gearset characters.

Would like to see the holster in action.  Would be good with the shield but not on the new set as that forces you to use the SMG (if you have one equipped) which I would imagine would not be valid for the holster bonus (although we shall see).

Where are these named NPCs ?

  • Ferro:  Napalm Production Facility mission ?.
  • Bliss: UN Building.
  • Barret: Lexington.
  • Skulls:
  • NinjaBike
  • Shortbow:
Shortbow rings a bell, int he DZ perhaps ?.

I'm guessing its just due to trying to get all the info on one picture but the holster pointed at obviously isn't actually a holster but a small dump pouch.

I'm also with @Oh. daesu I know Ninja Bikes and they are NOT Coyote Brown! lol!

KAWAZAKI NINJA LIME GREEN POWWWWEEERRRR!!

  • Skulls:
  • NinjaBike
Skulls - something in my memory says "roaming boss" but I can't find it on Google, other option might be one of the four horsemen in Dragons Nest (skulls = Death).

NinjaBike - drawing a blank. The only Kawasaki main dealer is in Brooklyn so this "might" be more a reference to it being a messenger/courier service so ... UN building perhaps (they get lots of messages etc), as it can't be the Post Office. Likely over in the Eastside districts where LMB are.

Hudson camp also has a MG sub-boss on challenging mode like the four horsemen MG sub-boss.
Possible, I don't remember him but its very likely.

Other idea ... and it might be I'm looking too deep into this BUT

They operate in Midtown Manhattan, about where I assumed this might be found. Doesn't lock it down to either a set end of level boss or wandering boss but it would be so cool if its actually a "names changed to protect the innocent" version of these guys.

I see a newfaction in the making.

"This is JTF, Anyone listening. We have Couriers whizzing past with mp5s"

Oooo... they need to bring in the MP5K and make it a named NinjaBike weapon bonus is that Crit chance remains even when using ballistic shield (MP5k being the small, machine pistol version of the MP5 with no stock, in-game only with the short - 15 round - magazine though for balance)

..always thinking!

From what I've heard, it sounds like the pieces won't be limited to the associated boss (including the 3 without a named boss), they'll also be in the loot tables for incursions and some other activities in WT 5.  That being said, it sounds like the associated bosses will have a higher percentage (don't know how much) of the item dropping from their loot table.

that's all logical and reasonable to be honest. I like this aspect of this game. MMORPG's like WoW for example... if you want an item often you have to just grind one Instance (Incursion) over and over hoping it will drop from that specific boss. Its very tiring.
