So i went into the dark zone today after months of doing underground missions, i figured i stay in the lower tier where the AI were more my level. I have a gear score of 237 i think and went it killed a few rioters and cleaners wasn't really a challenge but felt like the right level of difficulty for the bottom level you know. then ig et killed by rogues and i mean there was 8 people trying to kill these 4 rogues and i put all my rounds from my sniper and my assault rifle and it barely sratched  the guy he literally was invincible seriously what was the point of grinding for gear when i run into a guy who is clearly untouchable its not even balanced...

So then i was ok well im leaving because clearly i cant just run  in here kill some AI and if i run into a rogue agent at least it will be a somewhat winnable fight...

that what i seem to come across alot in the dark zone is fights i cannot win and not due to lack of skill but because they are literal one shot killing me i cant even stand up to them.

Now this place honestyl doesnt really seem to be enjoyable in any particular way uless everyone just leaves you the hell alone. I dont go after agents literally they stay out of my way ill stay out of theirs.

but then you got the few dueshbags ofcourse... so i wonder with all the new content soon to hit who really would bother with the dark zone...

For one you can spend an hour in there grinding just to lose it all or gain so many DZ funds just to lose them all. and then there is the dumb rank... yup hey if an non AI kills you you lose rank, that was probably UBISOFTS most retarded idea,  why should un unbalanced fight dictate how much you rank up.

it was almost as if these guys were in god mode and i was like a level 1 AI to them so to me the who experience is seriously ofputting and i have now probably been solidified never to go into the darkzone again.

By the way how is the DZ population these days and I dont mean numbers i mean personalities who mostly spends time in there is there some dudes who like to Lone wolf itmaybe travel in a grouop grind some stuff but for the most part have No mics have no talkign rather get work done and be out or is there more guuys who are in thee planning on ways to troll others. whats the common population in there im just curious.

Patch 1.4 has been re-balanced for weapons/gear, so there shouldn't be as much of a gap between optimized players and casuals.  They showed some graphs and figures which really demostrated how this gap became excessive with each patch.

They have also introduced a world tier system, so PVE players can roam Manhattan without needing to go into the DZ for good loot. It will be interesting to see how this affects the DZ. What type of people will be going into the DZ. They shall be overhauling the DZ in patch 1.5, though they want to observe the DZ when 1.4 goes live. Which is understandable, since the DZ could more become more true pvp, than a pve/playerkiller area.

They have changed the BLIND gear set into the Banshee gear set. It has a talent to stop players losing dz exp and dz currency.

  • 2 pieces: +20% Dark Zone Currency gained
  • 3 pieces: +10% Damage to targets out of cover
  • 4 pieces:

While Rogue, all ammo is completely refilled every 30 seconds. Damage taken from non-rogue players reduced by 10%.
  • No Dark Zone XP or Currency is lost on death. Damage to Rogue players is increased by 10%.

[*]Note 1: Due to streaming issues, the movement speed will have to be removed in a future update of the PTS and will be replaced with another bonus. Suggestions are welcome!

[*]Note 2: All existing pieces of B.L.I.N.D. will be replaced with equivalent Banshee pieces

tl;dr

Short and sweet

Yup

I am liking the no XP loss on death is mainly what i am looking for, see you can kill me over and over in the DZ but if i dont lose Xp of DZ funds eventually that griefing will end because soon i will be optimized to that persons  level.

And I'm finally glad they admitted to the gap between players because yesterday at around 231 i went up against a guy who was 246 and i couldn't get his life bar down and he wasted me in two shots from the assault rifle. it was a one on one confrontation on this one, since i had some other ones where it was around 8 or 12 of us vs a rogue group who cleaned all of us up, and i don't want people to confuse it with that one.

But still a one on one fight and it was like me being level 1 and him being level 30 despite only being around 16 points apart on gear score. So I'm glad they are bridging the gap tighter, I also think there should be more reward for killing players at your level, rather then hunting the new guys or weaker players, I mean to me it feels like if you cant challenge those players with harder enemies perhaps give them more rewards for killing people that will  make them sweat a little. perhaps even give higher gear score players certain challenges such as don't go rogue  for 15 minutes in the dark zone or help another agent with an extraction and have them do it like 15 times this way there is incentive too op even if the dark zone is intended to just be pure a hole level it can still be challenging in that sense.  whats harder then being a good sport for someone  who desires to be an A hole right.

But i believe they went wrong in the first place by hiding all the greatest gear and weapons behind the hardest missions from the beginning. It is nice to see they have admitted to truly messing thingsup and are fixing them. the one fix i love is the whole high DPS over High stamina ratio you know you cant be overpowered in both now you have to pick one or the other meaning no more invincible characters and having to use more tact over walking in and shooting'
