What about the proposed ban on the Confederate flag? I haven't heard anything about the Union Jack being censored but then I don't care too much for the UK flag as I'm Welsh and our flag is badass.

In the history of the world, no conquered nations flag has been allowed to fly freely on the conquered soil. When people went soft and decided that everyone's opinion was just as valid, no matter how stupid, that restriction was eased... to the detriment of both the history of said flag, and the people it was used to terrify. Perhaps a handful flying a confederate flag remember everything it stood for, but when such a thing becomes only a symbol of hatred to the majority, it must be removed.
