Armor Visibility.

Don't know where you would put it, also what is the reasoning? Just for the purpose of Rogue agents?

I feel like they kinda dropped the ball on Agent customization. The clothing aspect is cool but at least allow us to choose what chest rig/backpack we want to wear ect.. ect.. Kinda like in Metal Gear Online or even Rainbow Six: Vegas, this would at least allow players to dump their regular credits into something else.

I think the apparel gives the characters something like "skins" that people can use to control their look.

Showing armour might undermine that level of styling. Especially if they open the game up to purchasing more theme apparel

I feel that the armor an agent has should be more visible,  what do you think?
Agreed, to a point.

For the most part, people just want to be able to tell at a glance what level of gear the other player has, and that's not a bad thing. HE gear atm always has an orange stripe or marking somewhere on it, so that's pretty easy. Some pieces, like the chest, are almost entirely obscured by apparel, but if you really wanna show off, just remove your jacket.

The only other piece that's hard to spot is the mask, which hangs at belt level just behind the agents (empty) left hand. I really wish we had the option to wear it or not all the time.

It may seem intrusive to some, but I REALLY wish we had the ability to view another players stats/mods/gear/etc. Maybe just with their permission somehow? It would make it easier to help players that have questions in game, and (yes, I know this is kinda elitist) it would help identify where the flaw is in your current grouping that's dragging your run down.

I can understand people wanting to see the level of gear a player has. Since the DZ is more treachery or player killer than structured pvp, i think the risk should be weighted against going rogue. So not knowing your mark is a fair risk

Do what I did and change to the Softshell instead of a full jacket. Your vest is now fully visible over the top of it....not sure if there are different colour softshells available however, I just have the black version currently.

there are more colors available, and a lot of shirts like the tactical layers that give a pop of color (and choices of color) without obscuring your vest as well.

i wish we got chest rigs.  and backpacks/assault packs.  the single strap gearslinger is neat etc, but i'm not really a fan of it in a tactical environment.  i've had a maxpedition gearslinger for some time, and i only use it for short hikes or bike rides.  i don't like having all the weight on 1 shoulder.   just my opinion.  also,  it would impede use of a chest rig,   so we get the magic ammo pouch in this game.  i'm not a fan of the magic ammo pouch in any show, movie, or game.

a pretty dismal character creation menu, but i think the character models look pretty good in this game.

Lets face it everyone....we wanted Bethesda levels of character creation didn't we? We wanted not only that level of facial and body size, shape customisation but we wanted an extensive catalogue of current AND historic tactical equipment available...from 1940's webbing kit right through to modern MOLLE systems!

I really think Massive dropped the ball on this one because whilst character facial construction etc would be very deep and extensive (dammit I wanted to spend hours in a creation screen!!) but they could have all that tactical equipment available in-game as random drops, from vendors, even as DLC!!

Come on Massive...I'd pay to match my MOLLE chest rig in game!

Early, low level drops can be older kit such as Cold War BDU for example...I also think the level of clothing should be more extensive...who DOESN'T have an old set of woodland camo somewhere in the cupboard?

It just seems odd that they put so much effort into the level of detail of the environment but seem to have forgotten character creation visuals.

Absolutely. The first time I got into character creation, I was SERIOUSLY disappointed to find out people in this world only had 6 faces, and one body type per gender.

I dont know if this forum (or any) has any ... I won't say influence .. but the "ear" of the Dev team? It just seems perfect for a purchasable DLC plus a patch.

The patch would add additional significantly enhanced character creation & add more extensive gear drops (old AK chest rigs, modern MOLLE) into the game and the purchasable DLC will give you a range of "classic" skins

 - British DPM

- German Flektarn

- US Woodland

- Italian Vegita

- Olive

- Soviet era BDU

etc... To me it seems a complete no-brainer and they'd sell SO MANY COPIES of that DLC!! I mean the random drops such as the MOLLE can offer faster reload times depending on type for example, where as older rigs can add an increase to ammunition carrying capacity. The skins are just that...skins... no in-game effect except visual like now but they'd fly off the shelf!!

You could even tailor the gear drops so they offer better bonus' to specific weapons. Such as AK series gains ammunition boosts for your AK series weapons and MOLLE gear offers speed-load buffs for HK & M4 platforms. Of course, it would be nice if these were visually represented but one step at a time.
