When is it worth doing

Hey all 

PS4 player and big big fan of the division played no other game since I got itn??

currently a level 29 and a 64dz rank 

I mostly play in the dark zone and try to be nice when I can but do admit to the odd rogue and manhunt as let's be honest it's fun!! 

Current stats are 

82k dps   97k health   18k skill 

I have a stash full of high end gear now from drops including some nomad and one of those new gear sets can't remember which but it's the one that if you have 2 items it gives you a massive boost in skill power. ( I ideally want 4 nomad and 2 of these for skill power ) I have 3 nomad pieces so far.

i guess my question is when shall I hit level 30 I'm hoping this Friday with the resets I can get the final nomad piece. 

Does anyone regret hitting level 30?

Nomad is meh. DPS is kinda low. Nice health though. What kinda build are you going for?

Can't say I regret hitting level after sticking myself with team to level 29 for weeks without actual progress. Running in empty DZ collecting junks was both nice and cool.

Besides, after Update 1.2, I found pre and post level 30 DZ are pretty fudged up and now I'm just playing HVT.

i play solo a lot so wanted to try nomad for the 100% health revive with 4 pieces of gear. 

As for my build so far I have just tried to keep everything balanced only adding or changing equipment if it boosts all stats rather than just one and dropping the others.

i do want to get my dps over a 100k and I'm hoping that will be a lot easier once I hit level 30 with the 30 items of high end I have saved 

Was thinking maybe I'll fill up my stash inventory and backpack with high end get my last nomad piece and then go to lvl 30 as I only need to do a few side missions to reach it.

i guess then I'll start the build on my lvl 30 agent.

The nomad talent doesn't work correctly and personally (I know a lot of players agree) it is a waste of a set. When you get to end game at level 30 it's a whole new ball game. Incursions, challenge mode missions, HVT/HRTs, S&D missions even Pheonix credits will be new to you! I wouldn't hang about myself get to 30 and get involved in what the game has to offer. Been playing from day one and smashed through to 30 as quick as I could and have enjoyed the game along the way. It's been a fun ride and with new DLC incoming in the future I'm hanging around for a while yet....

Same as Supercat... haven't really DZ'd since 1.2 because I think it still needs a bit of work but loving the HVT's. Just started doing the weekly's.

I've had it from the start and still enjoy it. I'm at 195gs now and mainly play solo, though I've teamed with a few of the guys on this forum and it's been fun.

Had my rogue run tonight after helping some lower level guys get some loot from the higher dark zones they seemed grateful so made me smile.

Then when they left I went to an extraction and got into an almighty fire fight, ended up on solo manhunt and survived these two guys repeatedly tried to kill me in the end I felt bad because it wasn't a fair match even though he was a lvl 29 as well I could drop him with a couple of Aug head shots. 

If they are on this forum sorry guys I did say don't shoot me and I'll leave you alone I even tried singing why can't we be friends ??

I have got 30 or so saved up, I would suggest you keep hold of them because the dark zone chests are useless at the minute. Even at gs201+ bracket I only ever see gs163 high end items and lvl30 mods. Needs to be fixed

Now you mention it I don't seem to get great loot from them. 

My best drops have come from killing named enemies, well most of the high end stuff which I can't use yet ?

I ran nomad x4 and to my knowledge the 100% health regen never seemed to work right.  I asked around a bit and it didn't seem like I was doing anything wrong, it just wasn't working correctly or it's bugged.  I'd suggest checking the Division Wiki and look at the other 7 gear sets and see if there's others that you could combine to fit your playstyle.  I'm on PS4 so hit me up if you're looking for someone to run with PSN ID DeadSockPuppet, just mention you're from the forums and I'll add you.

played a bit tonight and got wrecked a lot by rogues.. One was a gearscore 216... How does that happen I'm meant to be in the lower class.

seems a lot of people go round in packs and their is a lot more agents in the DZ which is good.

I don't mind too much as I'm fresh out of boot so to speak and understand it will take me a while to build up. 

Did take down a few rogues and survive a few on my own but it's a totally different world at lvl30 

stats are now 

128k dps 120k health 16k skill but it does seem I get melted quickly so think I need to buff my armour and stuff as it was a massacre at times and the 1 hit kills by the 216 guy made me sad

Gear score is figured not just on the gear you have equipped, but it includes items in your inventory and your stash.  So, most likely if you equipped the highest level gear of all of the gear you have (equipped/inventory/stash) you would be 201+.

That's because it, for all practical terms, means NOTHING! Gear Score appears to be a "easy option" for Massive to use to make some assumption about your player skill, experience and a characters abilities. 

However, as you'll already have noted a LOT of items just don't stack up. For example you'd assume an AK-47 Gear Score 183 would "naturally" be better in DPS (for example) than a comparable one at gear score 163 .... however, this calculation does NOT account for any attachments but more importantly those random Talents that it has! If you add talents in particular you can easily boost a 163 weapon to outperform a 183 which doesn't have those talents, or it has talents you can't activate as you don't have the required base stats. 

End of it you are "likely" to get better equipment if you get higher Gear Scores BUT .... they won't always be better for YOU .... but Massive doesn't make that extra calculation when working out who you will populate in the DZ and often that'll screw you over.
