What's your opinion so far on the 1.2 Update???

Have anyone tried opening your group while doing S&D?

Nobody ever joined me while on process, but someone else would randomly get invited to my group after the S&D is done.

Couple more thoughts:

Got a 204 shotty (don't remember which).  It's my only 204 so I'll try it out, but it doesn't fit my build so I might hold it for my alt.  Bought a blueprint for a MP5 that I'm going to try out instead of my Vector.  Talent rolls were so-so but I can use all of them without respecing my stats so we'll see how that goes.

Also, had a lot of UI issues: map was a little sketchy, tried changing up some skills and had to go in and out of the screen a couple times to get it.to take, couldn't mark items as junk to break them down or sell them, had some double vision in the menus.

While all of this was annoying, the map wasn't completely broken and the rest of the stuff I just dealt with by only going into the menu to when I was at the BoO working on changes.

I like how the new pve works.

It brings back the roam, in a way.

So far, the mobs i encounter en route and those at location are all a part of it. Obviously the bar colors are different but still..

And some the locations vary for the same contract, which means your terrain and the approach varies. The normal missions you settle into a pattern more, a routine even pug'ers get to know.

So, yeah, i like how it brings back the roam to the rest of Manhattan. Those areas aren't the end game desert. Previously the only reason to roam was the mats, which are less relative as the game swings in a loot-centric direction.

I am trying to figure out what this update was suppose to do. I don't understand how they have a PvP area and there is no solo play. I knew this game wasn't that great to begin with for solo play but now they have just segregated the solo players. The one thing good so far is the stash box in the checkpoints. The really bad thing is the time they put on the retraction of the supply line. That's just ridiculous. On the other hand, if you run with a group, you have so many ways to make a person go rouge on you now. Group play is where it's at.

I've loved the Search and Destroy and HVT missions. Clear Sky I haven't really played yet however. But this is only breathing a little more life into the game for me. There's almost nothing for me to do at this point except for incursions.

HVT missions have to be my favorite from the update, hands down.

Yep, fully agree.

It is also worth noting that if you fail a mission (die or timer), restart it and it appears at another location, the loot that appeared before you failed (usually purple and blues) will still be at the original location you failed at and can be collected but the HVT mobs will be gone.  Easy to detour and collect before retrying the mission.

Took me a while to realise that as I just respawned and then jumped to the new location and tried again  :8_laughing: .

Sucks so far, game play is great, but when u get stuck in the 201 bracket with 175 gear stuff and u cant survive to play in it then whats the point?  I only play for the dz play now and i cant do that

I dont have any 204 weapons, only have 1 piece of 214 gear per slot and one good 182 primary, secondary and Pistol were level 4 and nothing was in stash or inventory, thats how i got it to work yesterday, logged in today and back at 201 with gear score of 158
To get around the issue, I just throw any extra 200+ gear into the stash, then have an alt take it into their inventory.  I've been 194 and thrown into 201+ as well, but removing any extra gear you're not using should drop it down to 161-200.  It's like the game assumes you COULD be using higher gear pieces and sticks you in 201+, even though you're not using them.
