What's your opinion so far on the 1.2 Update???

No you cant, you will get to the spot and the target will be gone, be careful because if you die or leave the mission area that game over.
If your in a group only one of you needs the contract so the whole team doesn't need to fork out on the contract at the same time.
I received 2 x 240 drops from the 40 Intel weekly mission (failed one because we moved too far back out of the mission area but the boss stayed and still had a 240 drop) .

on a side note I also received 3 x 240 pieces for doing supply drops :) striker, hunters and lone star. I normally equip two lone star pieces now just before stocking up which gives me 1500 sub ammo and 1600 LMG, then swap back.

Sorry I was getting mixed up with the search & destroy missions and the HVT missions. I do apologise, you're correct once you get past the "no respawn" marker point you can't return and replay. *new patch confusing old man*

It is a matter of making sure you have one type of each main weapon though, I've run out or really low on main armament ammunition and found myself hunkering down and swapping to a shotgun or LMG at the end.

Update on my experience - I logged in just before the 24hr tick over so missed out on a bunch of missions so I didn't net anything startling last night but I'm still loving running about back and forth through the open world. Reminds me of quest runs in WoW!! At lesat this time I'm not collecting recipe ingredients for some dumb-ass gnome just so I can get a half dozen bowls of his "amazing soup". LOL

This for sure.  I've been trying to convince Darcy of this pretty much for the entire game because very early on I realized that if you had one of every weapon type then there'd never be an instance where you'd truly run completely out of ammo.  That being said, after these Search and Destroy/HVT Missions, I think Darcy's decided that adding more weapon types to her inventory is a good idea.  It's funny that PVE content would turn out to be the thing that would instigate this way of thought.  ;)

yeah, I don't count myself as well geared up yet still and weigh in with 900+ rounds for my AR (Liberator), 1000+ for my SMG and another 900+ for my LMG ... I've not even counted shells for shotgun but I guess its several hundred (Saiga 12 or SASG-12 semi-auto the only shotguns I can stand!).

Plus grenades

Plus endless sticky bombs

...you really do use all the tricks you have up your sleeve in these missions!!! LOL!

Like everyone's said, either matchmake or LFG on the forums here and you'll find tons of people to play with.  I've posted up on threads where others were looking for people to run with and ended up having those people and others send friend requests.  In like a week I had at least half a dozen people from here that I've played with at least once or twice and most of them are all for DZ, some are rogue hunters, some are rogues, and some are up for whatever.
For some folks, overcoming social anxiety and getting on mic makes grouping-up damn near impossible.  Not saying that's the case here, but it's something a lot of people don't understand.  I think the more ways the game can make going solo an option, the better--so far the HVT's are a step in the right direction.

This is a reason I have a hard time jumping into a random group. Anxieties are horrible. I took the plunge one day and ended up striking up a pretty good friendship with a dude from Canada. Now we play most nights and the groups we run with are usually some sort of combination of people I met through that encounter.

I had a blast in the DZ last night. A group of us were in 04 and 05. Ventured to 06 once and that was brutal. Got some good gear. I noticed that people were more focused on the NPC's rather than going rogue. During extraction there were 4 guys who ran up. In the past we would have booked it unless we planned on a fight. Nope. They helped us cover the area. We extracted and as we left they extracted. I know the DZ isn't going to be all butterflies and good times all the time but it seems to have changed a bit. In a good way.

The lone danger isn't just with other players anymore. NPC's are dangerous.

finishing search and destroy missions when going back to the safe house and reporting to the white board it drops a weapon to close to the board
hUH??!?! have no clue what you are talking about. rewards do not drop on the floor at all..they go straight into your inventory. also, as others have said, you can do those BoO mission solo, i did 4 of them last night solo. and didn't even run out of ammo doing any of them...of course i can carry over 1K  ammo for my black market AK and 1K for my MP5.   it seems that in your case, you need to just get better at the game., get better gear and weapons, and up the amount of ammo you can carry. the only thing i will agree with in your entire rant is that they need to do better at testing these updates before they release them.  a test server would go a long way with that.

Another couple of HVT dailies done tonight and another gear set item dropped. Not one I want to use (lone star pack) as it lowers my electronics at the moment too low for my weapon traits...still...the drops continue!

@RaneMokeev @Voyager42 - Voyager and I have run a couple times and we just meet up through here.  I can't say I have had any issues with social anxiety so I can't say I understand how it is.  For those that have issues joining chat and running with people, I'm cool to run silent and just do whatever.

For the most part, many people I've played with from here are good at either following who's leading or looking back to make sure everyone's still moving if they lead.  I'm cool with whatever (DZ, dailies, whatnot) and and I can lead or follow.  I'm not a huge fan of the first incursion (and haven't tried the second) but I'd be reluctant to run that with a group that isn't on mic.

Voyager usually hits me up when I'm on and I think I was working on my alt the last time I was on when Rane was, but if you guys see me running my lower level character, send a message and see if I'm up for running my main.  Most of the time I'm just trying to mix things up or didn't have anyone that I could run my main with and decided to do some low level work.

And for those of you that haven't run with me, feel free to send me an invite or a friend request and I'd be happy to roll if I'm free.

I love they added more stuff, but obviously no one bother testing it fully.

with the current lag and gui screwed up as it is, I just can't play it.  I tried it out yesterday, got a lone star chest 214, wich was awesome, and then almost deconstructed it because of how bad the gui is.  I am just gonna walk away until they at least attempt to fix it....

I haven't experienced the gui and lag issues. Luck so far I guess. The only issue I have experience, and this isn't specific to 1.2, is the sound cuts out occasionally. Sometimes ill go an entire week without it happening but all of a sudden the sound just slowly cuts out. Its tough to run any sort of mission without sound.

The people I have met from the forums and played The Division with have been great. If anybody sees me online just send a friend request (throw a message saying you are from the forums so I know you aren't some crazy random) and ill be happy to team up and make NYC a safer place!

On a side note related to playing with a group.......I had a guy invite me 3 times the other night. I was in a full group so I couldn't accept. If you don't get the first invite accepted and keep sending invites you probably aren't going to have any luck. That's just annoying lol.

Same here with not being able to accept an invite.  I keep my phone by me and will usually have the messenger app running so I can send a quick message as to why I can't accept an invite.

Darcy and I did the Cmdr Krypo or whatever his name was; the 3rd level Weekly HRT... We tried it 4 times and couldn't down them.  Could never get to where he comes out; always ran out of time or died.  Definitely some difficult stuff!  The dailies weren't as hard as that, but still provided a challenge.  :)
I have found that location of the HVT/HRT is a big factor in difficulty. There is an open park space near to falcon lost incursion which is one of the more difficult due to its open spaces and circular walls. I have found the best location is in an underground sewer where you can stay up on the walk way as a vantage point and pick your shots. (I forget the map location of the sewer)

Absolutely!  Location, location, location!  That plays a part in even the Search and Destroy missions.  Location is a big time factor all the way around.

Keep in mind that anything to do with User Interface are issues that they take extremely seriously and fix as soon as possible.  They said in the State of the Game that it's a fix that requires them to make changes on the Client Side, which they've had special permission to do at the earliest convenience.  There's a lot that goes into doing the Client-side fixes for sure.  They said that PS4 and PC would be fixed by the end of this week, and that Xbox would be fixed early next week.  Shouldn't have to walk away for long!

Oh! if its a client issue then I can see any delay. Its notoriously difficult to get a sign off for client changes from Sony for starters (had experience with that with another multiplatform game I was heavily associated with), Microsoft are better with these things meaning Xbox and PC get fixes like this faster. Glad they're working on it though.

I try to but with my luck I am usually in the middle of combat lol. Its hard to get out of combat. Literally lol.

Sucks so far, game play is great, but when u get stuck in the 201 bracket with 175 gear stuff and u cant survive to play in it then whats the point?  I only play for the dz play now and i cant do that

I dont have any 204 weapons, only have 1 piece of 214 gear per slot and one good 182 primary, secondary and Pistol were level 4 and nothing was in stash or inventory, thats how i got it to work yesterday, logged in today and back at 201 with gear score of 158

Played some S&D and some HVTs and I like the addition to PvE.  Between those and dailies, I spent about 3 hrs playing and didn't have to go into the DZ.  The new stuff mixes in well and makes for some fun time playing.  It's nice to have some more reason to run around the city outside the DZ.

Picked up a handful of set pieces including some lone wolf pieces.  I was able to trade out some nomad pieces and the adjustments from the lone wolf WAY outweigh losing the 3 & 4 piece bonuses from nomad.  Although, I wouldn't mind getting one more nomad piece for the 20% health on kill until I can get a better set matched.
