Ok I have 125k dps/578k toughness/ 22k skill. 68% EDR. 75% Armor Mitigation and I am getting one shotted lile crazy by rouges. I love the game but PvE gets old and the Dark zone hates me. I try to avoid rouges but they seem to find me and kill me even if I have no loot. What am I missing? I feel dumb. Any input would be awesome.

You're probably getting trolled by sentry shotty builds.  If they're using the 870, they can 1-shot you with ease.  My tri-shotty build has an 870 that does like 110k DMG.  If they're running 5 pc sentry with savage gloves you're getting +13% CHC for targets out of cover, +30% headshot damage, +20% damage to elites, and they can easily mark you three times which gives +45% damage to you.

From the way those builds are designed, I've heard players dealing over 600k, which is more than enough to 1-shot you.   Unfortunately, unless they nerf the shotguns, there's not a ton you can do to avoid this.

It's the same reason i never PvP there's no way to not get one shoted, I'm currently trying to solo Clear Sky instead. I'm pumped for 1.4 and the new PvP though there's still things wrong with it it's actually possible to use anything other then a one shot shotgun build.

1.4 has some nerfs coming to shottys, so that may help with some of these problems.  However, consider that in RL if someone rolls up on you with a shotty and pumps a round or two into you, you probably die.  That doesn't take into account damage mitigation, CHC, headshot bonus damage, etc., but still, a shotty is a brutal weapon.  Rather than nerf damage and stagger, optimal range should take the hit causing those players to get up close and personal.

Looks like 1.4 will rejig how damage is calculated plus how your toughness is calculated (less focus on armour, more focus on toughness itself) plus some nerfs to shotguns on effective range (I think) not to mention that they're revisiting how Gear is working in general.

So this issue might go away but at the end of the day there is no real need to enter the DZ now and even less reason in the future. Co-Op multiplayer is being pushed now.
