Some of the talents in Division 2 on weapons are baffling to me because there are weapons that cause some of these affects irl.
Ignited where you have to wait through 3-4 kills before you can set enemies on fire with shots. Shouldn't the first shot fired by the weapon set the enemy on fire and every enemy every 3-4 kills? That would make more sense. My astonishment comes from the fact that the dragon's breath exists in real life as seen in the John Wick movie. It's a real gun.
Sadist (1st shot should bleed, then every 3-4 kills another bleed)
Eyeless (1st shot should blind, then every 3-4 kills another blind)
Flatline (1st shot should pulse, then every 3-4 kills another pulse)
If you're worried about PVP you can make these skills work the old way by not allowing players to be affected this way by the 1st shot, but these weapons exist IRL
Titanium Armor Piercing Shotgun rounds.
Phosphorus rounds that cause blindness when fired at enemies.
EMP bullets are a real thing now they were invented by the army to take out small drones, they are a muzzle that fits an M4 and fires pulses at enemy drones in a small cone.
Missing Weapons that exist today:
Pistol Automatic Crossbow that shoots bolts reloads similar to an MMR for snipers. It needs reloading between each shot and can accommodate the same mods as all pistols save for the barrel.
Pistol Double Barrel 2 shot Shotgun Same as large shotgun but uses small ammo which allows for less kick and better aiming and is most lethal closeup but very accurate closeup.
Keltech P50 is a pistol that uses the same mag as a P90 but uses small bullets and has fast automatic firing you can set it to full auto or 3 shot bursts and it can use armor piercing ammo.
Desert Tech Trek-22 a rifle with no kick that can fire until out of rounds because it auto-reloads.
Ravin R18 another crossbow that doesn't require a strong arm to reload and is silent. It uses a circular torque system instead of wide bows for firing arrows and is about the same length as a double barrel shotgun.
I'm amazed we can't use crossbows in the game for normal arrows or bolts because these weapons are just as dangerous with the same tips, some are made with armor piercing tips and some bolts are made with titanium tips that could easily headshot or bleed enemies to death.
Glock 17 pistols that are automatic and have casings that allow for mags that hold twice as much ammo before reload is necessary.
The mod that turns a Glock into a Carbine but weighs less and doesn't require disassembling could be useful in the pistol slot.
Coil Accelerator CA-9 is a railgun that uses a lithium ion battery to fire disk blade ammo at high speeds which could easily be the best bleed weapon in the game. This gun can fire at a rate of 2400 RPMs and the firing makes barely any noise. The batteries are interchangeable now. There's even the option for taking out machinery by using harder steels or tungsten carbide disks to as to take down armor quickly on machines or on heavies.
Arsenal Firearms DBDC is a double barrel pistol with the ability to fire two kinds of rounds, .38 and .45 it has two modes 1 for each type of bullet, one side is semi-auto only, one side first automatic rounds like a assault pistol.
ArchflashLabs GR1.1 Railgun that fires large steel bolts at enemies could also be used in the game to take down machines faster they require lithium ion batteries and are the size of a large rifle but they are made mostly of glock polymer to make them lighter and fire like a bolt action rifle.
410 Revolver Shotgun is a pistol size shotgun that can fire 45 long colt shells with very little kickback making it a better option for pistol slot.
I'm honestly surprised some of these weren't considered for the game when researching firearms. There are very few here that are now becoming commercially available 2023 most of these have been around for a long time now. I hope this reaches the devs eyes and they consider some of these for Div 2 and possibly all of them for Div 3. Thanks!
