The Vector has saved me on more than one occasion, Id say its one of the best guns in the game, 130k dps on mine, I always breeze past enemies with the vector in the dz

Are you using a high end vector? I have a superior first wave vector it's pretty sweet but the Midas is my baby. Maybe if I get my hands on a nice HE vector I'll change my mind

HE Vector... If you get lucky with crafting, you might roll these talents together... +26% critical hit damage, +18% enemy armor damage, and either 6% health return on kill or +13% reload speed.

Those are pretty nasty combos.

Seriously don't waste materials on crafted guns. I've gotten 13 high end weapon drops from dz bosses. My 2 high end ACR are better than crafted ak and I have 3 Midas 1 Aug and a vector all from dz bosses. Put in your time and you will be rewarded. Aug is superior but the Midas and vectors I got are all great. Focus mats on other stuff to increase your base stats and crit

Because i focused on my stats rather than weapon rolls, my Aug does 200,668 dps and my ACR 216,478

What do you use your materials for then? In my eyes if you've got em you might as well use em

I have a high end first wave vector, got it from a loot drop off a boss in the dz, pulse scan works wonders with it, I'm still looking to try out the midas, it looks pretty dope.

I got lucky and my first he drop was a he first wave vector. 9000 dmg, forget the talents. Later got a midas with 8450 dmg. What sells me on the midas is the mag size. I've probably rolled over 20 extended mags to fit my top 3 guns. The vector only hit 38 but the midas hit 62, that sold me. (I did get another midas with only 8050 dmg :( so maybe I got lucky with my first midas too)

I went to the vendor in DZ4 but no AUG blueprint for me but I did manage to get a bunch of Mod ones so it wasn't a wasted trip

I use Midas now sat at 151K , used Vector for a while but even with extended mag its too small capacity. I like the bonuses on Midas too nice for a pushing playstyle like mine.

i bought the vector blueprint, and then shortly found a Midas HE drop in the DZ (what luck). the DMG on my vector is higher, (9549, high end of spectrum) and 37 bullets with ext mag. midas has only 8700 DMG but 59bullets in the mag. the midas is more accurate and more stable. the DPS is almost identical once i add my mods. I'm using my midas at the moment, i prefer the talents. it came with the one that heals me as i get critical hits.  to summarize id say they are very similar and you can't go wrong with either, but many prefer the vector. i actually think i prefer the midas, but i might switch back and forth a little. each midas or vector is different, and its nice you can re-make a vector with the blueprint.  the higher dmg on the vector doesnt equal higher dps, my midas beats it by about 5000dps.

The Midas dropped in DZ for me yesterday and I have to say I prefer the MP5. Maybe it was my attachment selection but I couldn't get the DPS above 100k, my MP5 gets 120k +.

The top of the SMG heap is the MP5 ST. Neither the Vector nor Midas can keep up with it. It's drop only, so best of luck on talents, but when you get a good one, they're godly. A slight step down is the Navy MP5, which is craftable for better rolls.

While the Vector wins over Midas in base damage, usable attachments/mods, talent pool, and rate of fire, Midas wins in mag size. The MP5 takes the best of both worlds, using the Vectors pool of attachments/mods, rate of fire, and it's craftable nature (for rerolling talents), and pushes them together with the Midas' mag size.

If we're going to talk solely about the Vector versus Midas, the biggest factor comes in talents.

Midas comes with;

  • Responsive: Damage is increased by 13% when closer than 10 meters to the target
  • Self-Preserved: Critical hits with this weapon heal you for 3% of damage dealt.
  • Vicious: Your Critical Hit chance is increased by 13% while you are at full health.
...while the Vector can be crafted to have any talents from the pool available (including Midas'). As far as damage is concerned, only Responsive is maxed out on the Midas. The remaining talents can all be destroyed by others.

The Midas is a decent choice for PvP, but crafting a similar Vector or MP5 that replaces Vicious with Deadly will yield a MUCH more formidable weapon.

In PvE, it's not even a fair fight. The Midas is too obsessed with player health one way or another to keep up with the Vector or MP5. Deadly, Destructive, Brutal. Game Over.

With it's talents locked in, low RPM, and being drop only, Midas is doomed to be third string or lower. It simply can't compete with the MP5, or even the Vector.
