Nice bump

Missed this. Went to Canada for some reason this weekend and was away for the forums for far too long apparently. Glad to be back. Glad tomorrow is Tuesday. Glad for Operations! Woooo!

I'm pretty pumped for this, I'm sure I could go find what time it's at but anyone have it handy?

 
well, not sure if its going to be today....the guy that is streaming the game for massive right now said "we will give more info on incursions when we are ready" when i asked him about it.

He said "Incursion" rather than "Operations"?  

I guess after calling them one code name for so many months that happens but ... booo!! Wanted to know about these. 

 
*UPDATE*...the info will not be released today.....they will let us know a date...it will be soon, just not today...:( that sucks

Awwwww... very upsetting but I've worked with enough developers and played enough games to realise this happens all the time. Schedules slip. 

Cutting it fine though as I thought they were planning for a release this month.

I have not seen any official reasons but my educated guess is that the name now more closely fits the actual gameplay involved. To me Incursion gave hints that you were to play a more defensive game, defending against an incursion from enemies unknown, perhaps gangs breaking out of the DZ ... Operations now indicates the gameplay is a more Raid based gameplay with groups of players taking part in high risk, high yield events in the DZ (and perhaps the open areas). 

Either would be excellent expansions to the game in my opinion.

They quietly changed the name one night while everyone was sleeping, never said a word about it.

Well I like to think they never said a word about it
