New Gear Set Theory

Here is what I am eager to test out. Can we combine the new sets of gear to create new HE builds that give us bonuses from two different sets?

For example: I am bouncing all over the place dodging grenades and such so my aim may not be the greatest, therefore I may not benefit greatly from the consecutive hit modifier on the Strikers Battle gear for having four items in the set. The big question here is could I use (3) items from striker set and (3) items from the Sentry set to stack these bonuses:

Striker’s would give me +20% Enemy Armor Damage & +100% Critical hit Damage for having (3) items.

Sentry’s would give me +30% Headshot Damage & +20% Damage to Elites for having (3) items.

The same mind set could be put to different mix ups with (4) items from one & (2) items from another set.

If this is possible, we have been under thinking the possibilities of the new gear sets and I am more than certain that this is just the first wave of gear sets to come. Let me know what all of you think about this theory.

Yeah. I think that is actually everyone's plan. I want to run 4 of the Sentry's Call gear and two of the Striker's set.  I plan on getting them all and mixing and matching as the mission benefits from whichever set up.

Since it only takes 4 items to get the max benefits and not six, I was hoping this would be the case and open possibilities for specialized mission specific builds.

99% certain that you can, but missing the 4 piece on either set will lower your damage. Highest theoretical damage would be 4 strikers/2 sentries, followed by 4 sentries/2 strikers, and in third place 3 of each.
