So excited to go and get my paid for supply drop and ... I got an AUG! Tell me what's wrong with this picture please? Yes, the AUG at the top is my Supply Drop...I was so excited when I saw GS229!!

Erm... hello?? DPS? Where are you? Particularly "impressive" when you compare it against the GS163 G36 I have ... haha!

well tbh, im not sure how bad it is. I see it has brutal but your firearms is so low its not going to proc.  the crit dmg seems about avg/high. i think the cap on that is 45% but dont quote me on that.

The PP-19 Crit % is higher than the AUG, ignore the skills as I had just put on the 229 Lone Star pads I got and it kinked everything ... I need to work on that and balance it all out again but with the Healer build I'm making I might struggle to hit the required Firearms score anyway.

I'll put my build up once I've tinkered with it over the weekend but the drop seemed ... weak ... without plenty of respec's of course.

The G36C I have at 204GS has Ferocious, Stable & Focused ... all active with my full build for example.

if you struggle with firearms for that support build, maybe run a lower gs gun so you can unlock the talents. i know a couple people that ran 163 guns with their tac builds just to unlock the talents.

But your firearms is pretty low.......

I'm guessing by the fact that he has about 2k in firearms and electronics that he probably had a 163 or 182 weapon with fierce or ferocious on it.  Typically, if those aren't the free talent they always seem to require the same number in all three stats.  I'd guess 163/182 because I had a weapon with ferocious that required all three around 1800-1900.

That being said, I'd move some points from either firearms to electronics or vice versa, depending upon what you want to do with your build.  Since you're probably not using the weapon that needs all three stats, I'd pick one of those routes so you'll me more effective in either a DPS or support role.

Close, I had a 204GS G36 running but the scores above aren't accurate as I'd taken it as I was changing gear over ... because I put more into Toughness & Electronics I sacrifice DPS and as a support role that's ok. That does mean I don't manage to activate the more DPS based weapon talents and I try to recalibrate weapons if I can (though obviously only one talent can be changed) so a higher base DPS is more important to me as I can't activate all talents.

As attached, a better idea of the actual build I run with

Primary DPS - 123k, Toughness - 192k (though I want to hit 200k), Skill power - 23k

Interesting build.  I'm surprised that since you're going more toughness and skill that you don't have any skill boost from any of your gear or mods.  I don't know if the 45k "cap" is still valid, so you probably still have some room to work with.

Currently the gear I have mainly has built in boosts to skills so the mods are boosting toughness or DPS so I can run the gun talents. I still think its a work in progress though and each item of gear got helps.

On a side note, I recalibrated the PP-19 so it has a further 25% chance to crit. I don't know if that stacks with the 47% it already has though.

As of 1.2 (I think), CHC is supposed to be capped at 60%, this includes all sources: weapon, gear, skills.  The devs were concerned with people having CHC over 100% with or without pulse and basically auto critting whenever they pulled the trigger.

So, with the info you gave, the PP-19 would have 72% CHC, but only 60% would be used.  In that case, pulse wouldn't help you anymore, so if you use it you might put something else in it's place.  Although, you can use the other benefits of pulse, so 6 to one, 1/2 dozen to the other.

I can't even secure the supply drop at 161 gear score and die each time with barley doing much damage to them :(
I haven't taken a supply drop solo, but it's possible.  Typically you need either to run in a group and take the mob down then get the drop or you need to ninja into a drop where a separate group is fighting the mob and hope they keep them occupied long enough for you to steal the drop.  Getting shot stalls the progress on securing the drop, so that can be the problem with securing them solo.

if you do try stealing the drop, put a couple bullets in the mob boss.  That way, you at least will get gear from the boss, even if you get killed and have to come back later to claim the boss drop.

They were level 32 elites when I took it, about 6 or 7 of them. I can imagine it will be a struggle if below GS200 but you just have to kite them, drag them out and don't get close.

Retreat is always an option! Pull aggro then drop back and string them out, try to keep aggro on one mainly and he should follow you further than the others, take him down... rinse and repeat.

It always depends what cover there is as well as if you can get a high vantage point, roof top or raised walk way, then take that to give you lots of cover.

Key is, don't aggro them until you've looked around the area, worked out the cover situation and where you will fall back to. Once you get within 10-20m of them there's no turning back so make sure you can keep falling back for as far as it needs to be...cover to cover... use grenades and even specialist ammunition if you need to. They're consumables and can be replenished free so make full use of them!

EDIT - speed of retreat is important. Too slow and you can find yourself surrounded or cut off from further withdrawal. The Ai can be surprisingly intelligent if given room to move so trying to find points you can get to where they can't get around you are good as well as making sure you RUN when you're retreating. Once you're down to one two left you can kite them up close by just running around a bus or truck in the road! Run around one side, give him a burst of fire, then run back the other way etc.

I got mine. It was rubbish!

I thought the game was bugged because it showed a drop in Hudson Yards. It was surrounded by low-level baddies.

Really? It "should" be guarded by Elites of an appropriate level so ... that does sound bugged. What did you get? I got a few 229 Gear Score items but only one of any use.

There may have been a couple of purple ones but I only remember the low-level irritants. I got a crappy pistol, an Aug and crappy gloves.

Are these part of season pass?  I first thought this was the caches or the supply drops in the DZ, but when I reread the top post about paying for it I was pretty sure we were talking about something else.

Patch notes says it's for the season pass holders to get these supply drops, the 1st and 15th of the month.
