Oh. daesu

agent provocateur
This is partly for my own edification on talents and damage, and part a shout out to @quinch1199 who has declared an admiration for this lg.

So, I have two military L86 LSW. gs182 and gs 204.

gs182 67k raw damage

gs204 76k raw damage

gs182 talents  prepared (dmg +13% dist 40m+) Stable(46%) Destructive(Armor destruc. 18%)

gs204 talents  Self-Preserved(crits heal 3%) Meticulous(kills 23% mag refill - which I don't qualify for) Capable (skill improves handling for 13.5 secs -bit vague really)

So, my trusty 182 does have some nice talents that I do empirically appreciated. Does the 182 still out weigh because of this? Is the 10k damage truly better despite meaningful talents.

I'd stick with the 182 due to the talents. I am still running a 163 LOVA-C due to it's talents.

Weapon talents mean way more than a fancy gear score.
Stable and Destructive are perfect for an LMG, but i doubt you will ever take advantage of the prepared talent.

I wish I could have given away my 163 LVOA-C when I found my 204 because it had brutal/stable/determined

Ohhhhh!! awesome!

Yes, this "LMG" has a lot of history for me as it was my primary weapon when I was in service.

I see you've gone for a tank style build so I might be ok with the 204 depending how high the requirements in electronics are (though mine are about twice your value, obviously though my stamina is much lower as a result). I get Meticulous on my 182GS RPK currently so I'm hoping the requirement is the same.

Where did it drop from? I need it and I will hunt for it.

(I just wish they had a SUSAT instead of an ACOG for a scope)

Lol,  the 182 is from a mission (lex event center; me thinks). I like it better at face value, which was i was garnering other's opinions, in case i should rethink that.

So, maybe 204s have to be dz. It's all a bit random to rely our on personal drops. Me goz twice, you not. So, prolly unwarranted luck. It's just a wind up mate, you know? I mean i probably want a different drop to you.

Lex event centre in Challenge I assume?

I recently got a couple of 204 weapons (not LSW) in HVT high level weeklies.  So the DZ may not be needed  :10_wink: .

At lower levels I used to run pretty exclusively with the LSW.  Partly due to the ones I found being pretty good and partly from it being a British weapon.

@Oh. daesu: Yeah saw it hanging off your back recently.  Haven't seen many running with them at high levels though.

I love meticulous and have it on my SRS.  Not sure it would be so good for the LSW depending on if you are using an extended mag though.

The 182 looks very nice but you don't have the damage / shot on display for them.

Interesting to hear about the 40m range talent kicking in.  I have it for my GS 204 LVOA-C and was presuming it was not kicking in.

Meticulous on an LMG is ideal for grouping Incursions in my opinion. Add it with someone using Hunters Mark from the back and you just keep laying nearly endless curtains of fire down, as soon as a mark goes down you switch and melt each guy in turn. If you add in a magazine with a similar perk or Lone Star perk which essentially means you hardly ever have to reload at all (some LMG's have quite a long reload naturally).

Just keep your finger on the trigger...hosing down range...evaporating any mobs who are unfortunate enough to get marked.

Oh...and I hear LMG's are due a buff next patch .... muhahahahahaha!
