I find it odd that you would be kicked from Incursions for a 187 Gear Score. Are you talking about Challenge mode? 187 is more than enough (typically) for Hard Mode. But like others have said, Gear Score is only
actually relevant for the requirement (which luckily will be the same on the new Incursion that comes out). Otherwise, if you're having issues with being kicked for your Gear Score, just start the Incursion yourself so that you're the party leader.. can't get kicked that way!

Darcy and I have had mostly good luck going that route as far as who we end up picking up.
Agreed, to a point.
Many players are relying on the DPS number to give them an accurate read on what their build can do. This simply isn't true. A number of factors can WILDLY swing your DPS up or down in your build, from glitches to the formula used to calculate the shown score, without raising or lowering your actual damage output as indicated. What the OP is seeing as a "better" build due to higher DPS and health may not be. He could just be making bad choices on weapon attachments and gear mods, or just not seeing what his damage really is. He could also be perfectly correct...without seeing ALL the numbers that make up his build, I couldn't say one way or the other....but two stats are not enough to judge a build by.
As I often put forth as an example, my DPS reads at 165k...but my weapons do more than that
per shot, with a RoF giving much more than one shot per second as well. If we're discussing player versus player damage, the DPS numbers come out a fair bit closer (assuming you're not being inflated by accuracy stacking), but for PvE content like the incursion, it's often monstrously wrong.
What this boils down to is many players recognizing the flaws in generated statistics, and choosing to remove any players from their run that don't have a
definite edge...like bonuses from 4 piece gear sets. The closer you get to attaining a 198 or above gear score (the highest attainable with 4 pieces of 191 and no other set pieces), the higher the likelihood of having such a set. While these players aren't exactly justified in their practices, most players also aren't communicating verbally to the rest of the group, leaving gear score or visual appearance as the only metrics by which to judge. When it's all you have, it's what you become accustomed to using, and many now do it as a reflex. I'm not attempting to be an apologist here, this is simply a result of ALL the player base's bad habits up until now all converging at once and creating a backlash.
The solution to the problem, as you stated, is to captain your own group. When you're not happy with the way others run things, run them yourself :10_wink: . To go even further, create a clan or add friends that are on often enough to be reliable. Just the familiarity with each other will raise your odds of a win significantly over pugging.
