3 day ban is v poor more like a DZ ban would help aka shadow ban to the main game thus stopping them with dark zone pvp so  hackers would soon get bored and move on ...as main game the HD drops is limited

and just say mmm "just move on " is strange for a mod ?
i said that because i see this conversation going nowhere..i agree with you 100% that it needs a cheat system, everything you wrote, i agree with 100%..  but what does this conversation accomplish on this forum? all you can do at this time is, if you are having that much of a problem with hackers, capture video of the people hacking, log out of the game and re-enter, you will be on a different server. and when you're done playing for the day, send in the videos of the hackers in action. what else can i say to you? that's all we can do at this time..Like i said earlier, going to a forum that isn't even affiliated with the developers, complaining about the problem, suggesting what the developers need to do, and writing what they failed to do, isn't accomplishing anything on this forum. you need to write them about it. tell them everything you said on here. im sorry if it seems like im being rude, im trying not to be, im merely suggesting what we all need to do to help solve the problem.

Permanent BAN, and if they want to play, they have to re-purchase the game. Cheating cannot be tolerated.

i would like to see a system in place built into the software itself.  like if the game senses you are cheating, it fries the motherboard, CPU, GPU, the memory, and everything in the persons computer  that is doing the cheating, so they would have to buy a new computer...i bet they would never cheat again LOL.

Shhhh *wink*... I know a guy who can install something like that ... *innocent whistle*

Its like what warface was supposed to be, but better, and slightly less glitchy. Would be nice to increase group size to 6 or 8 or allow two groups to link.

this is what is coming next tuesday, the 12th

Cheating

  • Cheating report helps and they are also asking for reports from the community
  • On PC, players can be reported in-game after 1.1 - /report (Username)
  • They are also scanning themselves with server side tracking
  • Suspension and banning is happening
  • It is not perfect, but they are working on. Better solutions will be implemented in the future.
  • There is a 3 day suspension, then there is a second chance, but then it is a permanent ban
  • There were also many false reports because some Players are very high geared (the new Dark Zone Bracket in level 30 will probably help the situation)

Honestly.....this is why I have no desire to game on a PC.  I'm relatively new to the gaming world.  Xbox one is my first gaming console since I had an original Playstation way back in 1997 in college.  It wasn't until some guys at work talked me into getting an Xbox one to play Battlefield with them that I decided to try it out.  That was a year ago.  I really got back into it and put over a 1000 hrs into that game before purchasing this.  All the PC players in the BF forums would constantly complain of hackers and now the same is going on in this game.  Makes me ask if its even worth it to game on PC.  Especially after hearing about the price tag of some of these systems people use to play.  I have never (at least that I'm aware of) run into someone hacking while on Xbox one. (is it even possible?)  It just seems very unenjoyable to me, especially if I would have spent $1000+ on a system to play only to have the experience ruined.

Well...cheating occurs on consoles also in most games...they're often called exploits though. That said the devs have acted pretty fast to address this teleport issue and that's the main aspect of the cheating being addressed I believe. Its a hack clearly and its only a matter of time when things like this move to consoles as well as modern consoles are closer and closer now in hardware and software to PC's.

By the way my PC cost less than £600 including monitor but the main advantage of PC games is the sheer number of games! You don't invest in or buy a PC for just one game...my main gaming experience is a bucket load of completely FREE to play games which you hardly get on consoles. You have to also consider that game prices crash on PC where as you're paying virtually the same price via console for a game 6 months old.

For example the recent Mad Max game ... on Xbox One its still at £39.99 ... I can get the game on Steam recently for less than £15. Not only that but I buy into early access titles at bottom rate cost (usually less than £10) and a few months down the line they're released at full price £29.99 for PC (not the usual £60+ consoles suffer with).

Its these reasons to game on a PC rather than a console to be honest and a hack or exploit of one game thats going to be patched out soon anyway isn't a reason to not share the positives.

There ARE negatives...PC's are higher maintenance...you have to maintain software & hardware, I've had crashes, wipes, all sorts and if you don't want that stress then consoles are perfect! (though I've had the same happen with consoles but because they're consoles been unable to fix it).

If you prefer the pick-up-and-just-game aspect again...consoles are great for this with vox, chat, recording, streaming etc all now integrated and reasonably user friendly.

A PC just offers more flexibility about games, prices and software. IT doesn't mean they're better for you...just a different beast but its no reason to be discouraged from having one for gaming. I build my own and find it very satisfying even if the bumps are quite stressful sometimes.
