Exotic damage resilience

I recently swapped out my two piece of predator' mark (+20% optimal range) for two pieces of final measure (+50% exotic DMG resilience).  When I mentioned this to a friend, he said he thought this was bugged and cause you to take extra damage, similar to the protection from elites bug that was patched.

Can anyone confirm 1.) if exotic DMG resilience is/was bugged and 2.) if so, has it been patched?  I still have my predator's mark pieces and can swap them back out, but I thought the optimal range wasn't as beneficial as exotic DMG resilience.

Exotic damage resistance IMO is far more beneficial

I say this as my sticky is normally my get out of jail card while I strengthen my agent whenever I run into these final measure people I get rekt purely because I can't damage em with the sticky

I agree with you and it sounds like from your experience there isn't a bug or it's been fixed.

Final measure is NOT bugged. 50% exotic dmg is not allowing you to take more damage so to say but just preventing the damage from anything that ISN'T a bullet from harming you as much (gas grenades, flame throwers, incen bullets, explosive bullets, shock, etc). Your health doesn't magically go way up.

2 pc FM is 1000% times better to run IMO then the 2 pc Pred Mark.

@MichFan Thanks for clarifying what the exotic resilience is.  I understand how the protection is supposed to work, but I don't think I made my question clear.  My friend thought the perk was bugged that instead of you taking 50% less damage from these items (gas grenades, flame throwers, incen bullets, explosive bullets, shock, etc.) you instead took 50% more damage from these types of attacks.

So, attributes like Burn Resistance is to prevent you from getting 'Burn' status..

..while Exotic Resilience is to stop you from getting prolonged Damage-Over-Time during Status Ailment.

Am I correct? I'm confused a.f

lol..

I do believe your correct that you with how those are set up. I also think that they less the time that those things have an effect on you.

Your buddy is incorrect on this. There is no bug where they are doing 50% more dmg vs have the resistance. If you want to try it out and show him just head in to an incursion with and without final measure and stand directly under a mortar. You will defiantly see the difference in dmg reduction.

In my experience it is working as intended. If you have 50% or more exotic dmg resilience and 400k toughness go take an APC shell to the face on Falcon Lost.  When I didn't go down it made the whole experience way more fun knowing it wasn't a 1 shot insta kill.

Burn resistance keeps you from getting set on fire. Exotic dmg resilience reduces the amount of dmg you take from the burn. Think of it as armor for everything not bullets.

I haven't noticed or heard of any bugs causing the 2 piece FM to not work either.

I'll bet that people think it's glitches when wearing final measure in dz06 and a Fat cleaner flame thrower giant is burning them. Those guys do crazy damage and you will die instantly with or without FM +50% bonus if you stand next to them like a lunatic

I'm really hoping that this switch will be part of the missing pieces I needed.  I got my Toughness up to like 390k last week with 75% mitigation, but my DPS is down around 116k.  I might respec some gear and take a Toughness hit to boost Firearms and I might consider running the sticky bomb or something, currently I run pulse, overdose, and survivor link.

All you see now in dz is TANKTICIAN TANKTICIAN TANKTICIAN. The only way you tend to die in PvP now is from a bloody sticky bomb! DPS Builds rarely exist now.
