Do you think the DLC is getting delayed?

Ubisoft reached an agreement with Microsoft before the release of The Division that Xbox would get DLC's released a month before Playstation and PC.

They have said that the first DLC would be in June... so is that for Xbox players and everyone else then gets it in July?

They are doing the 1.2 patch on the 24th. I cannot imagine that they are going to release a DLC package right after that, so we will already be into June.

Or is there going to be a surprise release for Xbox players on the 31st, right on the heels of the 1.2 patch?

Unfortunately, and this just being my personal speculation on what would happen (but not what I want to happen)... I imagine that the release schedule will go a little something like this:

Conflict 1.2 = May 24th
Underground = Xbox June 21 Release
Underground = PS4/PC Release = July 19 Release
Survival = Xbox August 16 or 23 Release
Survival PS4/PC September 13 or 20 Release
Last Stand = Xbox November Release
Last Stand = PS4/PC December Release

Again; pure speculation.. But judging off of what they've done so far, you can imagine there being a 3-4 week (at least) separation before big updates.  I mean, I'd love if the week after 1.2 they release Underground, but it's doubtful because I'd imagine that what they're wanting is for the 1.2 updates to hold you over a little longer and allow everyone catch-up time before they up the Gear Scores and release more Gear/Weapons/Etc. for the big Underground DLC.  I think of it as each big update is the next snack/meal to get you through until you feel hungry again.  It's probably safe to expect at least 4 weeks between big updates, sometimes more.

All that said; we're sad because we're PS4 players so that 4 weeks becomes 8 weeks waiting on the big DLC's.  :(

Look at the bright side. Considering how buggy things have been, us Xbox players are just the beta testers. When PS4 and PC players get the DLC's, all the bugs and exploits will be fixed for you.
True, but it's still a terrible marketing gimmick. The amount of players that will buy the game based on that extra month is negligible.

I agree.  Personally, if they were going to do any amount of exclusivity time.. then it should be geared toward, "If you buy a Season Pass, you get two weeks exclusive," or whatever.  However, I know that typically these exclusivity deals are done for probably a lot more money on the front-end from whichever Platform they do the deal with.. not so much for the people buying the game.

They absolutely are. It's not the games developers that get this idea, it's the console manufacturers. For what they pay for the deal, there's no way they can recomp that in extra sales. It's just a pain in the ass for 2/3rds of the game market.

I think you underestimate the "fanboy" potential of players who queue for midnight releases or pay up front for "special edition" box sets ... which is why I play on PC...as I don't care that much LOL!

Oh no, never..I've done that a few times lmao. What I've NEVER done, however, is buy a system I don't already own to play a game that offers updates 30 days earlier, nor has anyone I've ever heard of.

NOT FANBOY ENOUGH!!

I have known several people who've done exactly that...(mainly Battlefield/CoD fanboys but...)

I don't see them releasing an update so close to the 1.2 update. It's common for DLC's to be delayed. Not only that but xbox has to get it a month early. Time will tell.

I run Windows. Me and every Windows OS PC should get it a month early too. :10_wink:
