Darkzone chests...do they open?

I've got some footage of opening chests during the beta past level 10, we opened about 3 before we couldn't open any anymore. I wonder if the chests are tied to the loot in them? if someone loots a chests, do you have to wait until the loot is extracted to re-loot it?

I think the loot probably always changes and they're likely on a timer.
