Dear PC players:

Hackers/cheaters will ALWAYS exist on your platform, no matter what the devs or players do. If someone wants to cheat, they will find a way to do so, regardless of measures put in place to stop them. This holds true for ANY game, not just The Division.

A. Realist

That is true.

BUT normally this is countered with anti-cheat-measures. Things like Punkbuster or Fairfight are just a few examples. So far Ubisoft/Massive seems not to have anything like that implemented or the don't go public with it. Combined with the fact, that they opend up the game far more then they should have by making important calculations client based made The Division Cheaters paradise.

The too open design has already been mentioned in the open-beta and there they said that it would be changed to a server side calculation before release which did not happen.

So yes we PC-players may have to live with hackers but only with a small number normally. The current numbers are more then you will find in other games that are well designed against manipulation and have decent anti-cheat software implemented. So we have any right to complain about the current status of the game anti-cheat-wise. Not to mention exploits and glitches that touched all platforms. Most of the stuff we suffer from was doable on consoles too btw. Not aimbots ok...but wall glitches and other stuff was possible on consoles too. So don't start the age old consoles vs. pc fire again.

That's due to implementation being delayed until the next major update. The devs KNOW they've dropped the ball consistently so far, and don't wish to release anything they haven't tested and retested extensively. Bans are incoming sooner than the next update however, so we should see a marked drop off soon. After 1.2 drops, we should see a massive decrease in cheaters/hackers across the board. Be patient, we're only in month 2.

Crazy video. Down with the trash life losers cheaters! Sorry couldn't help myself.

On the up side, the DZ the past few nights have been WAYYY better. We are having legit PVP battles again with no hacker interference.
