I think I'm yet to get an exotic off a world boss, maybe I've gotten one.  I pretty much only get Barrett's and Skulls when I find an exotic nowadays.

For randoms go for Warren's Gate. It's average between the three, but people are generally used to the room by room format.

Times square is easier, but the format is a running street battle. Fun and different in its own way, but noobs get flanked and over run too fast imho.

Napalm site is a grenade spam fest. And the final bosses are agile and cany with their instas cqc kills

We've tried randoms for Warrengate & Naplam and not Times.  In Warrengate we've yet to get past the room with the valves and timers.  In Napalm we can't get past the multilevel "courtyard" right before you go through the gate.  We've worked with a group and managed to beat Times twice and last night we ran Napalm with a group and got to the boss fight but just couldn't get it done. It was late and we were probabaly too tired to be attempting it.  With that group last night we had easily beaten DN on normal (my first attempt at it), a 3-stage/5 directive UG run and Times on legendary, so we had some challenging play leading up to Napalm.

Last night, I pug'ed Napalm Prod Site Legendary with a 4pc Final Measure build. Lot of fun in the main courtyard. Seem to be throwing back more grenades than actually shooting. Never run a FM build before. Was actually wondering whether killing AI grenadiers was not in my interest. Lol.

Just wait for FM Classified! What I heard about that is just ...stunning. Pick up cooldown shortened PLUS picking up grenades BUFFS THE WHOLE TEAM!

So, true. figured should try the builds that are getting the luv first. Unlike PM.

Edit: Housekeeping! Split from bosses  thread into General Discussion

Have tried TA 6 piece (Broken) and Lonestar 6 piece (Broken) on the PTS.  The LoneStar was surprisingly good.  Running with a MG5 but have yet to find a good shotty for this build which is not spec'd in to electronics.  I would like to give Sentries a go again as that used to be my go to set before it was nerf'd underground.

Will be interesting to see how my 6 missmatched pieces with Skulls MC gloves do in 1.7.  It seems to be doing 'ok' in 1.6 live at the moment.

What I have found with the legendary missions is;

Time Square is fairly easy if you can handle the shotgunners rush near the start.  As it is open, you can always just back peddle to make sure you don't get flanked.  There are also a number of high spots for your snipers too.

Napalm is not too bad with fire turrets etc for shotgunners rush in the first stage and then two up and two down for the next section.  For the long area, the scafold on the right seems best with people on two floors.  As the health station coverage is spheriacal, one station can cover both floors and the grenades only go for a floor at a time.  On the second part of that section, go to the other end of the same scafold.  Two out front and one behind the cover at teh top of the stairs with health stations and to cover for shotgunners coming up and can take pot shots when someone comes in to view.  The boss fight at the end is a bit more challenging.  Go for Tarantula first (IIRC) at that one lays down the health stations.  As always, beware the shotgun rush.

Warrengate is ok as well if you contain the enemies in the first section to the courtyard.  If they get out in numbers then it becomes a big mess.  Get those snipers down as well as they can ruin the run.  The rest is a slow plod with health stations and survivor link keeping the team up.  I have seen people using it to get just one team member up but the sooner you use it then the sooner it can be used again I guess.

Unfortuantely I have not been able to find any random groups for any UG runs recently.  Seems not a lot of people are playing it any more in my timezone.

^ this is good.

Just to add some more...

Times Square. This first stage, I've been in a group which just runs from the escalator straight to the switch room around the corner. The ai mob is much easier to deal with from there than the bottom of the escalator s. Tho obviously this requires initial communication, otherwise  :3_grin:

And at the escalator it should be noted the escalator provides cover even part way down. So you don't need to fully expose yourself to the ai to deal with their rush.

Napalm Production.

The scaffolding in the main courtyard is the best. Even two people up there is enough to contain the ai in there little space.

Someone with FM up in the scaffolding is fantastic.

Survivor Link. Send peeps use this for one downed player too much. Grr.

So I am finding the PTS quite a bit easier than the Live server, possibly due to the classified gear sets.

Challenging missions are fairly ok for solo and even legendary Napalm with only two others and the Sentry build was fairly doable.  A fourth joined us at the defend stage before going in to the building to the watch tower.

I find this quite a bit with the PTS and then when they release it Live it seems to be quite a bit harder...

I am a bit concerned that the global event caches so far have given nothing different to any other caches.  The loot randomisation is either broken, to low percentages to get anything remotely different (clothing, skins, classified set pieces) or I am just amazingly unlucky (this one is quite possible).

I am also a bit worried if the classified sets get farmed fairly quickly then the lack of more difficult challenges (more than 3 legendary missions or even upping the one that are already there) will make things boring again so quickly.

What are others thoughts

Ah, this .

This is exactly  my thoughts. i'm  not a min max but "challenges" are so light. (tho it's  nice to have some light grind..) Only three legendary means only three missions that need effort.

i'm  guessing ubi will treat 1.7 as a stepping  stone. otherwise  anguish.

This is my initial  thoughts about classified  gear. it's  an effective  gear increase  without any new dz bracket (not sure  about Last Stand scaling ), nor pve additions. it's an approach to increasing the gs but too delay any follow on changes is asking for community  grumbles.

I feel they need to have planned a next step otherwise a bit of stumble on the road  ahead.

*crosses fingers

Waiting to see if I get a console invite (unlikely due to my total play time), otherwise I'll let you know in a month or so when 1.7 drops.

Remember that 1.7 is quality of life fixes and building a foundation, 1.8 is billed as the year 2 content drop and is supposed to be epic.  So we may have to live with easier content for a couple months until 1.8 drops (possibly around Xmas).

What I find very interesting is the pace of change and updates.  This game still has to be selling well for the money that is continually being put into it.  And quite frankly this is a much better game than when I originally bought it just prior to 1.5.  While there have been some misses, overall the changes are really good.  The DLCs so far have been excellent.  With 1.7 adds another quality update - again alot of money - with only the speculation of new players.

I wonder how big the team is now when most of the coding is done.  All the art is done for the most part - that part is very expensive - the DLCs add but how much is really new?  The Snowdrop Engine is in place so that is done.  So story line is the main cost and "tweaking" - but I am sure the tweaking is adjusting parameters, not writing new routines.

For me - all is good and the game still devours my time in large chunks  :1_grinning: .

That is something about this game, it is so easy to pour hundreds, if not thousands of hours into it. Very few games are like that.
Agreed.  I had 500 hrs into Destiny when I stopped playing after a little over 2 years. In the 16 months that The Division has been out I've posted up over 550 hrs.  Neither of those are huge numbers, but I'm still putting in more time with the game and am enjoying the repeated grind more than Destiny's repeated grind.

I'm a full blooded PC gamer, so I will be sure to take advantage of Destiny 2 and melt hours into that when it releases. I've got around 60 hours on The Division already, though. Pretty much proof that it isn't hard to just put in the hours.

I have had The Division since last Christmas - 635 hours.  Yep my go to relaxation game.  I also have fallout 4 that has less than 10 hours.  Go figure.  I also have over 2200 hours in Borderlands 2.  And about 1000 hours is all other games.  Right now the Division has my attention.

Can't wait for Call of Duty WW2 - I will be a there!

Yeah, I couldn't stay into Fallout 4, probably less than 20 hrs in.  Started building my settlement and never got back to the missions.
I just could not find the time.  I play with my son on The Division - so I must be ready as he really kicks my but on knowing the game.

I loved fallout 3 - and as I started fallout 4 - well - it seemed a distraction.  I am sure I will love it, but not now.
