Can you still farm CS WT 2 for the 100 PXC?  From what I head depending upon how good your crew is you can make 500+ PXC/hr doing that.
Pretty sure that loophole was closed in 1.5 and PXC rewards scale based on World Tier. I haven't had a chance to check the most efficient PXC method yet, it might be running HVT's (Daily & Weekly) now .

No official release date (still) for 1.5 on PS4.  Sony is dragging their feet, but Massive is hoping they'll get the patch back certified on Monday so they can release it Tuesday 11/29 ?

Oh hell... feel for you. Rest assured that the battle from 229 to an actual WORKING 256 GS build is ... long and difficult.

Posted a short 1.5 video up last night but hope to have the first Survival one up later tonight!

That's why I wanted the holiday weekend to work.  Since I usually only get a couple hours on the weekend it sounds like getting to 256 will feel like getting decent loot pre-1.4.

Another night and still no FAMAS.

I have moved to a Police M4 and MG5 with a Tactical M700 and Tactical UMP as backups (got bored with the G36 and M60 combo).  I have also moved away from Tact Auth and on to Striker (4) and Defense (2) just to get the stats up.  The Defense 2 piece give 15% elite damage resistance and the striker is standard (10% stability / 10% armour damage / dam bonus for consecutive hits).

The 4 piece strikers is not so good for me though so will probably drop it for a Gold of some sort.

With the M4 I am around 256k DPS / 320 Toughness / 120K Skill power.

For me the mod drops are way too high.  It may be that they are heavily weighted with shop bought caches.  I am looking at around 50% mods and maybe 30% weap and 20% gear.

Ran a few challenging underground missions.  Waste not / Want not was a real killer with this build (not a lot of extra ammo) and I was going in with just 360 LMG rounds.  The AI really hit hard and fast.  Barely time to react before I am down (with 270K toughness).  We (3 randoms and myself) did have a fairly epic battle with some shield guys and their lackeys.  We were going up and down like yoyos they were hitting so hard.  A number of times 3 of us were down at once with the last guy having to make a life saving dash to get us up again (all directives were on so no 4x Health link sig skill available).  We did manage it though.  I suspect the other 3 were Japanese so no real communication possible but we ended up being quite supportive just to be able to survive.

Have not tried Survival yet but will over the weekend.  Apparently the old Blind Battle Rifle can drop from there (and proficiency caches).  It looks pretty good.

Yeah, with the high requirements for 256 weapons I'm in a similar issue with so few 256 gear sets dropping that I'm struggling. Managed to run 4x AB & 2x FL set at the moment but I need more 256 AB to drop to prop it up.

@DeadSockPuppet - Survival video up buddy...

(Spoiler)

...I didn't survive.

What!?! Ok, you need to realise one thing ... time disappears in there... you think you've taken 10mins to get somewhere then you realise its almost 40mins. I Love the mode

ha! yeah, I ran it in PTS and I've run it several times with friends since release and only died where I "expected" to die and for explainable reasons. As soon as I choose to record it ... plop ... I die pretty stupidly and look like an utter noob.

Best firefights I've had so far have actually been the really high level HVT's so far (World Tier 5). In a group of four of us and we got to the point where one of us was running with his pistol only! Up and down like yo-yo's. The new Ai is really good.

Yeah, I know what that's like.  My group was running HVTs last night and we knocked out all 6 dailies.  We always work bottom-up and do the hardest ones first (3 chalices) so that as we get tired or whatnot, the night gets easier.

Anyway, for the most part, we did ok and we're motoring along, with the exception of the 2nd hardest which gave us the most challenge.  That was until we got to the top HVT, the 1-chalice easiest mission.

Needless to say we got a little cocky and ended up getting wiped.  My friend was like, so we never talk about that again, right?  That's when I reminded him I was Twitching and that my runs are saved on my page for like 1-2 weeks.

Yup...

This is no joke!  It's frustrating to fight the LMB in HVTs.  You have to use either a chevron or chalice formation to make sure that you catch the guys trying to flank.  Otherwise, you need an elevated position or a choke point, because they'll get behind you in no time fast, which is what happened in the 2nd hardest daily we struggled with last night.

Oh, and we were in WT 4 & helping level a guy that was like lvl 26/27, so we were mostly 2-manning a HVT scaled for 3.

So I got a FAMAS yesterday but had to buy a number of Basic Weapon Caches (200PXC each) to get it.  The talents were not great but it is now my go to gun.  Modding it reasonably (no stability or accuracy mods) and you get 15% extra damage.  Mine is currently 15,206 per hit @900 rpm .(firearms is just under 5k).  I also got another one from a normal store bought cache but it was worse than the one I have.  Def don't want sustained fire with this gun but having the 3 piece Strikers (2 piece give +20% stability) really helps if you do bursts (i.e. tap the fire button rather than holding it down.

I also did all the roaming bosses today.  Not bad but also not particularly difficult.  The gunner down by Warrengate took the longest (5 or 6 mags with the FAMAS) although the Heavy flamer guy got caught up in a battle with another roaming band of AI at the same time.

Looking for the named gear items but none have dropped for me in the 'known locations' yet.

Did a survival PvE run last night.  Met up with someone else and we paired up (although sorta went our own way for a bit).  English was not a common language so comms were difficult.

We got in to the DZ with 30 mins to spare.  Found the anti-viral and went to extract on the garage roof in the lower DZ.  Got wiped out by the Hunters sticky bombs and their liberal use of medkits.

Things of note;

  • There were ares outside the DZ with nothing to be found even with water taken which was quite surprising.
  • Police station basements are good for mats and has a large cache (I got a purple M249).
  • Upstairs in police stations where they have the holding area with bars (not the cells, the other side of the corridor), the bars seem to block flamethrowers.  I dashed in to the building but aggro'd the Cleaners outside.  I went in to the area to collect the goodies and had 4 cleaners come in after me.  They all used flamethrowers but dodging behind the bars and to the door allowed me to shoot them without getting set on fire.
  • Gold weapons now need Div tech as well in the DZ.
  • Our success was off the back of fallen agents.  We found a flare gun on someone else who died.  Same with some gear and weapons.
  • Div tech is still quite hard to come by.
  • Clothing drops have been significantly nerfed in warmness factor.  I more or less ignored and ran with -8 protection.
Was a good run and very enjoyable once we got to the DZ.  I also manged to take out a flamer guy with an M4 and got some slim fit jeans with a warmness factor of 2 :31_neutral_face: .  I would have thought heavies would drop better loot.

I am going to run survival a few times today just to map out good locations with no intention to complete.  Knowing where to go is very much key at this point.

With the Meat Locker FAMAS things are looking a bit better.

That was so much fun lol

Ran UN and Lexington a few times yesterday but no special gear drop yet.  I also did the daily Lincoln Tunnel and got 3x 93R burst pistols.  Unfortunately as there is no dual wield, John Woo style, two were sold.

The new FAMAS from the Meat Locket is pretty nice.  I changed the talent with increased damage depending on lost health bard to sustained (3% health per crit) as I was killing but have also been prone to dying if a bit too aggressive with little health recovery.  Predatory is good but only props on kills.  Running solo it is great but with a tram with everyone fighting for the kill it can be hard to get it prop'd.

@quinch1199 I see in your video of the FAMAS int he other thread, he has around 4.7k firearms and 350k dps from the FAMAS.  This is compared to my 5.1k firearms and 282k dps.  I am guessing the DPS is significantly buffed due to the Alphabridge set you are running.  Care to share how you got such an awesome DPS figure with low(ish) firearms ?.  Would be great to give it a go, not that I have seen that may decent Alpha gear pieces.

I'll run a short video tonight showing all the parts that make up the build. Mainly though I think its gear mods and recalibration on some key pieces towards Assault Rifle + damage. With AR's you can shape them close to performing like LMG's and SMG's based on type of magazine and other mods you add so running a full AR build has sat well so far. I'm struggling though to get AB drops of 256 now unfortunately.

Remember, the downside is that .. unless you get a "good"roll on a weapon drop... you will find it a struggle to unlock weapon talents. I've had to recalibrate or wait to get lucky on drops to get all the talents unlocked.

I was planning on doing a video discussion about Survival tonight (Is it worth it?) anyway so I'll add one about my build for you guys as well.

Played a little 1.5 today and really only got some better savage gloves for the toon I was running.  Got some AB pieces for my 1st toon, a TA piece for my 2nd toon, some assorted weapons that I can't use until I upgrade my gear, -and that was about it.  Played for about 2 hrs and only moved the needle from 229 to 232, but I held my own running with a group of guys that were like high 240's.

First inpressions: The new WT is pretty solid addition to the game and the challenge seems just right (the increase that is).  Played some DZ and that went fairly well too.  Weekly HVT in WT 5 when you're 232 isn't a good idea.  I found out at this point that I think the guys I was running with were high GS but that they didn't optimize their builds, so they were kinda like false positives.
